  1. We live 15 minutes away from Sandusky... went down and stopped at a few places we hang out last Friday night...probably will be downtown or fairgrounds this weekend for some of the bands. Wanted to do some of the rides that they have had but weather did not cooperate this past weekend.
  2. (Gotta stop at a bar every 25 miles, chug a beer and watch some hag pull out her long boobies.) Stopping every once in awhile to hit a bar (even though I won't drink while riding) is okay but I'll pass on the hag pulling out her boobies.... (.I like to ride fast and drag a knee but if that's not only way to ride sometimes its nice to see some beautifully sites that your going to miss if all you do is ride like your on a track) Grindle got to agree with you I like to ride nice and easy taking in the sights and stopping at anything that looks interesting.
  3. Now that looks like a fun route...I bet it is beautiful there for riding and camping! Will be checking this out for sure...maybe something for the Fall season.
  4. Most of it will be downtown by the lake starting this Wednesday (used to be at fairgrounds but moved downtown), also have things going on at Mad River Harley, the Fairgrounds, and M&M cycle on Rt 250. It's kind of spread out with different events, rides and concerts each day. Wasn't the greatest weekend for any event or riding.
  5. Definitely something the husband and I should look into...I am more of the scenic rider then the adrenaline rider. Bad324 will look our for the maroon Electra Glide..where is he parking the RV?
  6. Guess I'm going to have to look into it. Sometime it's not about doing it quickly but taking it nice and slow and enjoy the ride. (keep your mind out of the gutter on this comment)
  7. ^^^^^^guess I have been called worse....lol.....but kudos on your creativeness! Yep I'm out on the Deals GAP...looking like the Roadglide or Street Glide are too big and heavy.
  8. Isaac's How many riders usually go? What type of bike are in the group? Just wondered if our bagger's can keep up...
  9. Would love to ride in the mountains, maybe will have to plan a vacation next year...but I guess I'm considered one of those "Slow Ass Baggers" but guarantee I do not smell like a sweaty pirate..lol
  10. Anyone going to Bike Week in Sandusky? Starts tonight through next weekend.
  11. I agree with trailering vs riding, but when you are going to stay at location for a couple of days up to a week much better having the camper (toy hauler) to stay in then tent thus trailering a much better option. Can ride all day then come back to camper and enjoy your evening!
  12. Pokey it did not scrap at all on any of the tight curves we were riding yesterday. It sits higher than my Fatboy lo which I did scrap often on tight curves.
  13. Update used the Biker Bars this weekend hauling 2 bikes in tow hauler...they are wonderful...no tie downs and all you do is attach bar to bike drive bike up in trailer and lock and go....would highly recommend to anyone hauling bikes!
  14. We stayed at Scenic Hills
  15. No I wasn't. Sitting at campground last night heard ambulance a couple of times. My thoughts and prayers to those involved ???? I'll post pics of bike later today. Overall beautiful weekend of riding
  16. Beautiful riding down here! Ended up at Adventure and trading the fatboy in for a Streetglide. Definitely not on agenda of getting new bike but took the plunge anyway lol Wahoo so many bikes on the road down here!
  17. Thanks for the feedback...we plan on riding all day Saturday and Sunday...The Big Muskie Bucket looks interesting never heard of it before, going to mention it to husband. Got a new seat for bike this week and hoping it's more comfortable then what I have and can last longer without the "Numb Butt".
  18. Thank you...I did see the 83 going to Coshocton and have heard it is good riding. Wasn't sure if there was a lot of road work going on around that area. Praying for good riding weather this weekend, Mother Nature has not been kind so far this year.
  19. Going to be in the Berlin/Millersburg area over the weekend riding. Anyone in that area that can give me some great roads (routes) to ride or stay away from? Thanks in advance!
  20. mango_sv You really had some terrible instructors....I also took my class a few years back at Terra in Fremont. My whole family plus 2 of my friends have taken the class there and were happy with it. I do agree though that the bikes were a piece of crap (my Honda's clutch kept sticking) but the instructors I had were great with all of us beginners and did take the time when one of us were struggling. The only time they got spunky or aggravated was with the 3 guys that stated they had been riding for years trying to tell them the proper way to do things. Have to admit though even though they stayed over the one day for me to practice the figure 8 in the box I still ended up putting my one foot down and lost points on my test. Glad you wrote a letter of complaint and received a response.
  21. Believe me would rather ride but we also camp and want to take bikes to ride also. And no if anyone asks about tent camping.... Like I posted before done that and no thanks especially when we are gone a week at a time sometimes. Camping, riding, food and beer and I'm good
  22. I took the class as I was a beginner and had a great experience with it (better then my husband trying to teach me). Yes the bikes are a piece of crap but what I learned I don't believe I would have learned on my own or the proper way. There were 3 guys in the class who claimed they have rode for years and surprisingly enough 2 of them did not pass the class. The instructors kept pointing out bad habits they had in riding and they would not listen or change. The instructors also stayed over 1 day with me because I wanted to practice the figure 8 in the box and were very helpful with all the beginners. I would recommend it to anyone new wanting to get their license...plus you get a discount on your insurance taking the class.
  23. Well I thought when I attached they were rotated correctly...When I view it, it does show correctly...is it showing sideways to you? But if you watch some of the videos on this product it will show a bike attached to this and being picked up and leaned sideways.
  24. Got our biker bars to haul our bikes in toy hauler...took some time to install (husband reinforced floor) but wow makes it so much easier to load and unload I was even able to do it! No more tie downs.
