I did. I filed 1-2 mm off the out side of the outer race of the old bearings then tapped those with a hammer to drive the new bearings in. From what I read online it was the next best thing to having a socket that was the same circumference as the outer race.

Today I swapped out the old wheel bearings in my bike for new sealed bearings by "all balls racing." the installation seemed to go flawlessly. When I put my rear rim on the tire balancer a slight push sent it spinning for several minutes. BUT there is a slight clicking when it finally slows down. My buddy who was also at the shop said he thought it must be an air pocket in the bearing grease or something of that nature because if the bearing was busted it wouldnt spin so freely and youd be able to feel it by placing your hand on the tire balancing shaft, which i could not. I generally take his word on things, he is pretty knowledgeble but I figured I see if anyone on here could confirm that theory. If not then I guess i better buy another set of inner for the rear.

I just rechecked the wera website and they published their Northcentral schedule yesterday. Its 3 gratten rounds and VIR. Plus vintage days where we dont qualify for. So no Mid-O or Pirc.

If i had the money for a second racing habbit that would be my first stop.

To be honest Hill I would not be surprised if wera northcentral is folding for the year. They have TBA for north central which they had last year for Nat. endurance. . . and we know what happened there. Hopefully I am wrong.

Id like to chime in on this debate. I live in Cleveland and I can assure you, riding aside, Columbus could not possibly be home to more degenerates then Cleveland. The human filth that makes up the fabric of this city is depressing. On the plus side there are some good tracks that arnt to far, and the metroparks have really fun roads!

As far as I know there wont be any racing at mid ohio by any organization which blows. I was ganna do some track days there this year but then i heard no more racing I think im ganna do summit instead. I need to do atleast two tracks this year i havent done so i figure summit and pirc full.

jez u do alot of riding! who do you ride with, wera? I will be lucky if I can swing 9 week ends this year. I try to keep it under 10k which means doing 35 race week ends is out of the question for me haha. Last year I only got 6 week ends in and I am def not letting that happen again this year.
