Watching Loris Baz go out on a semi wet track the first session was pretty badass.

PITT Race did not disappoint. Top notch facility and track.
Tim it was good meeting you in person.

I will miss most of the PIRC track days this year due to scheduling conflicts with WERA... I am super bummed
That is a bummer, but good luck with the racing. Nelson and PIRC are about the same distance and even though it's more expensive for PIRC I'm going to spend my money there this year.

I signed up for April PITT. April feels like a year away at this point.

Some constructive feedback from what I see in that short video:
I definitely welcome your feedback and what you are saying and watching a full session back makes a lot of sense. I did think in my head I had to slam on the brakes to get slowed down for the slow corners and was hard at the time to ease on the brakes and flow through the corner.
Thanks for the link as well. I am really looking forward to spending a lot of time at PIR next year.

Barber is pretty cool... not my favorite track but most everyone else loves it. It just isn't as fast as you would think it would be... has cool elevation change, was just repaved, and the facilities are the best in the business.
CMP was also just repaved, and I think the lay out looks more fun to me but that is all subjective and the facilities are nowhere near as nice as barber. I am still trying to get to a weekend at either of those 2 tracks, maybe we can ride share if things work out.
I just booked the Nov 21st at CMP. I was not able to make it to Barber for the N2 event. If that ends up working for you let me know. We're not too far apart.

Has anyone here have an opinion on Barber versus Carolina Motorsports Park? Trying to head south in November to get one more day or two in.

I'm about 2 seconds faster during a race vs. a trackday.
Literally we all start somewhere. Keep coming out and always make a plan before each session, what am I going to work on (pick 1 or 2 things) and work on them. Speed will come.
I spent some time with Chris on Saturday and he had me focus on my hand grip and that helped me a ton feel more comfortable. I hope to make it to Pitt Race in October.

Never get footage of myself but this weekend I did (I'm the one in front)! Towing one of my buddy's around Nelson's ledges on my sv. Blake's FZ makes me realize how under-powered my SV is 😪.
Watching this makes me realize how painfully slow my corner speed was this past weekend.

That's gotta be a real hoot to ride!
It is now. Took a little work to get it comfortable. Luckily you can only go about 90 miles on a tank of fuel which is about the limit of sitting on the plywood seat.

Thanks for the info. I've looked at the YCRS and it's a little more than I have budgeted to spend right now but looks very good. I will look into the N2 ATP Course.

So this year I have decided to start doing some track days. I've read a lot of the information posted here under Typical Track Day Q&A and plan to do a couple of days between Nelson's Ledges and PIRC.
My question is would be beneficial to do one of the Race Schools this year at either track or just stick to the regular track days?
I've raced MX/Flat Track/TT since 99 but definitely not taking for granted the difference on riding on a track for the first time.

I had the Dorsoduro 750 which should be almost identical on the engine. Never had any issues and was a fun bike.
I would highly recommend getting the O2 optimizer though. The engine did like to "lurch" at lower RPMs and this fixed it up.
