I guess I needed some competition to get off my ass and go race aside from a rental. I enjoy racing the car and getting the practice I need. I'm actually debating on going back to D42 on a Saturday night in the near future.

After trying like hell to beat a 10.29, I've realized through practice I have a pretty decently consistent low 10.4x car, 10.33 glory pass aside. I put down some 10.43s last year at D42 and went Friday night and did it again, although I would have liked more runs (thanks broke-dick Hondas that oiled down the track). I did manage a new best trap speed of 132.93, and am still seeing some decent 60' times in the 1.5x range on the foot brake. I need to practice more on dialing in my launches. So quickest stock bottom end or not, I'm still very pleased with what my car can accomplish, especially after being a 10.8x car last year at 130mph. http://www.cr-h.net/pics/1040slips.jpg

I guess what bites my ass is Steve's attitude. Met the guy a couple years ago and no issues. Then comes outta the woodwork running his mouth and being a douche about quickest stock bottom end LS1. I guess doing a few passes does that since I've been content with the bottom end and 10-bolt rear for a decade, and not just a couple of months. Congrats Steve. Nice what you've done with the car.
