  1. Well if we can get this thing going you are more than welcome to come play sometime. I really want to keep this from being annoying and more just about having fun. There were some good bands in Portsmouth that fell apart because someone in the group made it annoying :(

The last band I was in (several years ago) was a 5 piece. We learned 45 songs and were just starting to get ready to play out. The drummer's wife got pregnant, and wouldnt let us practice there anymore. He didnt want to tote his equipment around to practice, so we just folded it.

It's hard keeping all the personalities, musical tastes, and skill levels in order.

I wouldn't mind jamming with some people again though. I would have to retool. I literally only own two acoustic guitars now.

  2. We're shopping for 2009-10 new or very slightly used. I'm currently requesting quotes for a v6 4wd RAV4. (Been very hard to beat the RAV4) I've literally emailed almost every single Toyota dealer in Ohio with what I'm looking for. I like them to see who they're competing with on quotes. :D

Any more advice just keep it coming. I feel I'm fairly savvy when it comes to this kind of thing, but it's always nice to hear something new or something I may've not considered before. And I'm getting older and forget stuff, too. lol

My truck is an 08 with 26k miles on it. Any interest in that? 4door, 4.0 v6 etc etc. I have it posted lazily in the for sale section.

  3. I'm not stellar at pool, but my parents have a table so I'm decent. Question for you kids that seem to know what you're doing:

Is it common to "call" a table by laying a quarter on it? Some queer at a Pickerington bar was playing on one table, then put a quarter down on the only other table, which 2 guys were playing on. After they were done, I put my money in it, and walked over to him and said "I'm going to play on this table, here's your quarter back". He said,"I put that there so I could play that table next, I guess you're buying so we playing teams or just you and I"? I told him I thought he was already playing a table, to which he replid "I'm playing both tables"....

Needless to say I was pissed and beat the doucher, and my buddies and I kept the table for a few more games. Am I missing some pool etiquette here or was the guy just an assface?

I'm a little unclear what happened, but a quarter on the table signifies next game. If I walk up and there is a quarter on the table I always ask "is this anyone's table?" If no one answers I take it. If someone says yes, I beat their ass at pool, and then take it.

    Hope this helps.

    Erik the pool god

  4. What are you shopping for?

    New or used?

I got my truck at Toyota West, but only because they had what I wanted in stock. I ended up getting it list + when no one was dealing on trucks at the time. I saved about 3k and got a really good finance rate.
