  1. MRM has been on steady decline since they burned down their lodge and were bought out by Vail Resorts. I'd be pissed if I bought a season pass. I don't think MRM will go under for a while, they will just be bought out by a shitty venture capital firm that owns malls or something.

Snow Trails started blowing back when we had the cold snap in November and stockpiled their snow so they could open for Xmas break. Last I heard they had to limit ticket sales because they were beyond capacity (everybody jumping ship from MRM). I wish the hill wasn't so small, the lodge has so much personality and their shop is actually quite decent.

  2. If you want the business of people who have chosen to lower their personal risk by being vaccinated (or the ownership/staff has chosen to do so), then it's logical to limit traffic from folks who serve to increase risk of exposure. Seems totally ok given that effectively the full public is at an equal opportunity to be vaccinated.

Eating with my at-risk wife next to Mr. And Mrs. Itsacold doesn't sit well with me.

The vaccination is not a silver bullet.

If your wife is that much 'at-risk' then don't fucking take her out? This is not a flesh eating virus, its a weird cold at best.

  4. Strouds stats are deceptive. I’m going on record to say he’s not the right qb. Bad decision making and high throws. Brutal. Not aided by the receivers or play calling but still.

The more I watch him I tend to agree. Sure when he's on the money he has a great arm...but you take Njigba, Wilson and Olave out of the equation and I think he falls flat.

We got out coached and out played, especially on Defense.

Oregon did nothing fantastic, they just played with precision and consistency.

  5.

With that said, I am not against the vaccine, those that wish to get it should, but I don't believe anyone should force someone else to take it. Also I'm not saying I wouldn't take the vaccine in the future, I just want it to have time to properly be tested.

    This 100%.

The fact that countries and companies are denying service without it doesn't sit well with me.

  6. What if you have already gone thru COVID?

You and your significant others actually contracted COVID? We spent days or weeks of feeling like shit only to be told "you have to get a vaccination?" I already had that shit, I have antibodies that are most likely superior to the vaccine.

I voted for Joe but there is going to be a severe split in America.

  7. So this weekend will be big for us as clemson and georgia play.

If clemson soundly beats ga I think we stay 4 if it's close or ga beats clemson ga will jump us to 3 and clemson will drop to 4 on a close loss.

    Thoughts??

While it wouldn't surprise me they keep a 1-loss Clemson in the top 4 and bump us to 5...I think in the event of an upset we stay at 4 and Clemson moves to 5 or even 6 and A&M moves up; people seem to like them this year.

  8. Turbos are the big item, seems to affect earlier years rather than later but all the 4.0t cars can develop the problem if they hadn't had the new oil screen and fittings applied. I saw a couple cars on CarFax that listed the turbos having been replaced, That would give me a little peace of mind.

In the end the if the turbos fail it's not super catastrophic. You can buy upgraded turbos for less than 2k and the install is a DIY.

Other than that oil separators, turbo coolant o-rings, and motor mounts are the main issues, with turbos and thermostats being less common.

  9. It depends what kind of energy you are looking for.

Just general daily energy and feeling better, as others have said, diet and exercise.

If you need short-term energy in the morning or for a late project, etc. Dont waste your time with gas station energy drinks, Red Bull is not energy in a can. Get a true pre-workout drink or powder, C4 seems to be pretty available at most grocery stores. Vitamin Shoppe carries a few ready to drink brands in their cooler. I have a mix of powders I use in conjunction with sugar free Gatorade that get me so amped I can see thru time and space.

  10. We have any members or contacts for tree cut-backs?

I have a couple trees that have overgrown the roofline that I need cutback. Just seeing if anyone can offer assistance or a company that does decent work. This would be a 2-story roof-line.

  11. Yep, it's been one of those weeks. The wife broke the outer handle of her Escalade(60k mi.) on Sunday, no big deal, ordered a new one on Amazon. Monday she goes to pick up dinner and comes in to tell me the inner handle doesn't work as well now.

I don't see any way to get the panel off with the door closed.

This ever happened to anyone? Is this a dealership issue? Locksmith? Interior Indy shop? Suggestions?

  12. My case is nowhere near yours and I have not delved into registration further, but I expect the title transfer is without a problem since it already has an Ohio title. As far as insurance goes, my agent told me that Hagerty would insure it for a set value; granted that it would be insured as a show car with certain limitations. The insurance company (Travelers) that cover my other cars wouldn't insure it for some reasons. I would likely move my '96 to Hagerty if the premium was lower.

It has a Florida title. I've just never seen a VIN that doesn't come up in a search. Apparently it happens with imports.

  13. I came across an outrageous deal on a Panamera Turbo that I'm trying to purchase and there seems to be a hangup because the VIN isn't showing up for the bank. The car is from Dominican Republic and it was imported/registered in Florida, its LHD, nothing strange about it, well it's in km/h. The VIN shows up in the Porsche registry and also when it came thru the port of Miami.

I know some people have actually brought in Japanese cars on here, even if the bank is ok, will I get a run-around trying to register/insure?

  14. I've been trying to get an accurate appraisal for a car I'm interested in and the difference between KBB and Edmunds is quite substantial, about $10k higher on Edmunds. Which seems strange because after googling this same vs question most people say Edmunds low balls.

Is one typically more accurate? Should I just split the difference?
