Yup, a lot of people just use duct tape or anything that can seal off the entrance of the pore to suffocate the fly. Then, once it's dead, you can pull it out with tweezers.

I blew under and still got pwned.

Look up Bot Flies.. they're taking a bandage out of the pore that used to be home for the larva.

They always tax the shit out of their products, and a lot of time you can find Craftsman items to be just as satisfactory. Definitely don't go cheap on a Torque Wrench.. they fail easy if you don't take care of them. I forget the one I use, but it wasn't cheap.. I can tell you that much. BTW, the digital ones lose calibration over time.. aka don't bother.
