They call it a belly-button valve that should be on every soft-packaged coffee bag that you purchase anywhere. The carbon that's released from the oils in the beans after roasting should be ventilated from whichever form of packaging the beans are in to preserve freshness. It's the presence of Oxygen that causes staleness and the one-way "belly-button" allows that carbon to escape and not let oxygen back in. They would removed the gasses from the coffee before packaging it in cans and even filling the cans with nitrogen IIRC.

IMO, Starbucks has terrible coffee.. their beans are over cooked and too bitter to enjoy. This is in general though, I hadn't had much interest in Starbuck's beans to try their different blends and so forth.

Let me just say I was a certified Barista at Nordstrom's E-bar Coffee Shop, and I've had some of the best.. but, there's NOTHING like genuine Turkish coffee.

I was all kinds of fucked up when I came to, after being knocked out.. I had no idea where I was and why my face was numb. After that, it was all kinds of funny because I couldn't talk or control my mouth from drooling... aaand then the pain set in an hour later. because my two teeth being removed were impacted they had to work to get them out so the Vicoden didn't do me much good for my swollen face and throat.

I keep looking at the BT kits from Kinetic but then I remember I have another car I need to finish. It may be out this year, but it's going to be close.. there's more work than I anticipated originally. Just about everything has to be rebuilt or gone over before I dare drive it. I'll settle for a K04 upgrade in the VW once the K03 takes a shit, I just want to whip it around town, really low.
