    weather

OH MY GAAAAD.... IT'S SO HOT OUT TODAY, UGHHHHHHHH.
  11. Going 8s on carbs is different than setting up carbs that are going to be used for spirited cruising, I'm sure. You're getting pretty defensive about your answers, when nobody has said you're wrong in any way... we're just suggesting other things to consider. Cruising is done on the main circuit, airs richen or lean the mains in the uppermost RPMs. Emulsion tubes and etc. will determine the richness on the main tubes at cruise as well as the choke size. To me his problem sounds like the changeover from the progressive circuit and main circuit has a lean spot. Obviously he's not cruising at the same RPM and then it suddenly bogs out and then goes back to normal. It's probably experienced when he's speeding UP TO a cruise speed, which he would go through the changeover in circuits. If the jetting was fine previously, and you're experiencing this condition randomly, I would definitely check the plugs and maybe even the fuel pressure. Bowl floats could be getting stuck and not filling the bowls correctly, as well. http://www.tr3a.info/TR.images/DCOEchart.jpg
  12. Hesitation/Bucking is a lean condition, which is no surprise to me if this is what you're experiencing when you're starting to hit boost. I figure it probably clears up as you get into the main jets of the carbs and off the pump jets and through the progressive circuit which are probably on the lean side. If it were a rich condition the motor would just react sluggishly and even sound loaded up. Reading plugs is a good thing to learn, but I definitely suggest getting a wideband to figure out what you actually have going on.
  13. I'm really glad more CR members took part of the rally this year. Just reading the stories and seeing all the pictures makes me pretty upset I didn't get the chance to go this year. Normally I can get away with putting classwork off for a week, but this year the rally fell directly on my testing days for my finals, and really had no choice of going. That being said, I'm also very happy everyone had a blast and it's probably pretty obvious why this is a repeat thing for Doc and I the past few years. You make some great friends along the way, and great stories to tell for years to come. I plan on making next year's rally, and hopefully everyone who participated this year will do the same!
  14. I was signed up for the session early this morning and couldn't make it at all. I work overnight shifts and was simply too tired, and barely made it home.
  15. Exactly. If you're supporting a cause, how are you to be taken seriously with such childish acts as this?
  16. I'll get back to you in a bit about this, I'm going to have plenty of time on my overnight shift to find that data for you, and explain that I agree with everything you're saying, yet I wasn't trying to get into an explanation that was just long winded.
  17. That Yaris will destroy WRC... pretty confident saying that.
