My 3rd car as I got out of High school was a 91 Lumina Euro.. had the 3.1, but it was fine for me. Wife and I (G/f).. had a LOT of sex in the back of that car at the time . Yeah that is pretty rare to have a 3.4 DOHC in a Lumina. not too many out there.. especially the 90-94 models. I'd pick it up but I can't STAND working on 3.4 DOHC motors. I'd almost pick it up just to do a swap in it but don't have the time.

I'm not going to make excuses as no one really cares about a high 13/mid 14 second car. I looked at my tune after I got home. Somehow the previous owner had the stock timing tables all hosed up. I was pulling 10 degrees of timing all through 1st and 2nd gear (should be 18 which was what I was commanding). I also found a bunch of crap in the PCM for the Supercharger that was messed with. I was only making 7-9 lbs of boost too. On the way home just now with the cooler weather I was making a solid 9-10. Weather sucks. Kinda pissed I ran a 14.3 @ 96 when the previous owner went 14.2 bone stock down to the paper filter. I know you're not supposed to burnouts with street tires on, but since I've gotten the car with the $5,000 tranny in it I haven't done much. and the tires are almost gone anyways. Oh well.. shit happens. I had fun.. sort of .

You're doing it wrong if you have to use A1 or other crap. Nice dose of Kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper and you're set. That steak looks like something I shit out yesterday. I prefer the 8 oz Filet Mignons wrapped in bacon that I bought from Carfagna's for $4.99 each.

He's not really "needing" to sell it. He just told me last night if someone offered him the right price on the car it would entice him to get something different. Like I said, I told him if he wanted to do $1,000 to let me know. I was just wondering in terms of reliability for my son to drive. It's small, 4 door, no rust. Just seems like a decent first car to get him and I'm not out $5000 if he decides to hit something/some car.

00 (I think) Jetta with an auto. I don't know shit about VW's. One of the guys at work is thinking about selling his. It has 180k+ on it. Black, all stock. Just a daily driver. He was asking 2k for it. I told him if he went down to $1k or so to let me know. I think he just did the water pump/radiator a month or two ago. These cars will pretty much run forever right? I was thinking about this for my son when he gets his license here in 5 or so months.

We put our cars on big 55 gallon drums and race in Alum Creek!

That or the sway bar completely broke. My 99 Regal broke where the bar gets thin for the bushings. Just snapped in half. I guess from reading up on it the stock sway bars suck and are hollow. I went with one from Orieleys for $100 or so.
