  1. Hey brian, how much did you spend on your over nighted parts from Japan Civic you had a few years ago that went like 15.0?
  2. Oh yeah. it's a happenin' place. lol.
  3. It wasn't a company. Some dude named Kenny had it in his garage. He said it sat for 18 or so months and never did anything with it. he lives directly across from the mcdonalds in that one stop light town. if you're going South I guess on Rt 60 and turn left at the light there, his house is the first on the left. (on Dave Longebarger rd).
  4. Now i just need to drop the oil pan to see if there's anything in there. Then swap the brackets and rockers and such over to mine and throw it back together. I'm hoping to have it running by Sunday.
  5. Negative ghostrider, the pattern is full.
  6. So I went to Dresden with Mike (302powered) and we picked up this motor I found on Craigslist for $250. 50k miles and it was complete. Blower and all. The guy said he replaced the lower intake gasket manifold. Great I tore it down anyways. I'm glad I did. I pull off the lower intake manifold and see this: http://bucky.kicks-ass.net/car/regalgs/newmotor/hahawtf.jpg Yes, the dude re-installed everything and torqued it down and LEFT the shop rags IN the lower intake valley. HOLY SHIT I'm glad I never just installed it and tried to run it. That would have been REALLY bad. No offense to anyone who works at wally world and changes tires or Oil, but this guy clearly forgot ( I hope so) that rags inside the motor aren't good.

    Reboot at 11P

WTF do you think are going to do for 10 minutes? WTF mate? you need to reschedule this for 3 AM while I'm sleeping.
  8. Nope.. some other guy somewhere in Ohio .
  9. I'm not telling until I pick it up tomorrow .
  10. HA.. I found a complete L67 with the s/c for $250 . with only 50k miles on it to boot.
  11. F' you. I didn't even make to the track and my motor tanked (glad I was 1/2 mile from home and I was able to limp it home).
  12. neither have I until now. Hell with everything i put my Lumina through and all the shit I had on it I never had a problem .
  13. i haven't been blessed with enough money to buy a beater .
  14. YEP! I do have my brothers Grand am that I'm pimping around for now. he doesn't need it and I do. I'll just grab another short block and throw it in there.
  15. it never got SUPER hot, but it did on the way to get the exhaust fixed. That was for about 5 seconds and I put some more anti-freeze in it on the side of 270 and it was fine after that.
  16. Yes I know that. I was already under the car and rotated the flex plate and it doesn't have any cracks in it. It's also not good if you see copper/gold in your oil .
  17. True.. but if I tear it all down and replace all the gaskets, what would be the big concern? Maybe no water got in it? hmm.
  18. Shit happens. hopefully I'll find a cheap long block and I can swap all my shit over. Has anyone had any experiences with a fire damaged motor? I plan on swapping everything except the heads and cam. I was going re-do every gasket including dropping the pan, etc. Just wondering if it's worth it.
  19. it's coming from inside the motor. it's running REALLY rough too. its' not like its smooth running and knocking.
  20. negative. not the blower. its' deeper than that. it almost sounds like a lose rocker arm or something. But NOoo I took off the rear valve cover and it's all intact. All the valve springs look fine. Diagnosis.. FUCKED.
  21. I think it's the blower that warped. I'm gonna take it off and find another gasket and see what happens.
  22. I don't think it's the flex plate. I took off the inspection cover and and rotated it and it doesn't look cracked or anything. ugh.
  23. yeah.. it sucks labor wise, another 1/2 hour and I could put another motor in the car lolz. Price wise, it's cheaper than the motor but getting to it sucks ass.
