  6. "thats why i don't get people that go to school for useless underpaying majors." actually even the most "useless" majors generally equate out to more $ than if someone just didnt go. college is just another piece of proof for employers that shows you can put up with shit for that much longer. OSU tuition is cheap in comparison to everywhere else so YAY!!
  7. are you sure that times not the blue devil? http://www.autoweek.com/files/weekart/2005/0704/bluedevil_side.jpg We hear 2005 Le Mans class winner Jan Magnussen is turning faster-than-Z06 laps in the Blue Devil at Nurburgring. (Photos by Bernd Rauh) Blue Devil Lives!! When GM's vice chairman speaks of an ultra-performance Corvette, we listen BOB GRITZINGER/AUTOWEEK General Motors vice chairman Bob Lutz won’t confirm this car exists, but he is not saying it doesn’t. We first wrote about Chevrolet’s ultra-performance Corvette—dubbed Blue Devil, most likely to catch the attention of GM CEO and Duke Blue Devil grad Rick Wagoner—shortly before the sixth-generation Corvette debuted at the Detroit auto show in January (AW, Dec. 22 and 29, 2004). We asked Lutz about the car during a recent exclusive interview with AutoWeek. “Let’s just say [Corvette chief engineer] Dave Hill is not a guy who likes playing second fiddle to any high-performance car on the road,” said Lutz. “My guess is we’re going to find a way to do something beyond the Z06, that would be at a much higher price point, and which would compete with some of the leading high-performance cars of the world.” http://www.autoweek.com/files/weekart/2005/0704/bluedevil_rear.jpg Lutz said the car may be delayed while the company focuses most of its engineering might on pulling ahead profit-making vehicles like its next-generation large sport/utilities and pickups. “But there is certainly no lack of desire on anyone’s part to establish the supremacy of the Corvette,” says Lutz. Spied on the Nurbürgring, Blue Devil appears to be living up to the earlier hype. Eyewitnesses said the car sounds supercharged, confirming reports the engine is likely a blown version of the Z06’s 7.0-liter V8, producing upward of 600 hp. Look for lightweight carbon fiber body parts to reduce weight to about 2900 pounds. Pricing will likely start somewhere around $100,000 if and when the car makes production in 2006. http://www.european-forums.com/forums/uploads/post-88-1120134337.jpg
  8. No way would someone be able to maintain 4500 calorie intake and burn 2300 calories per day, thats like running a marathon. my lunch consists of 3000+ calories let alone dinner and breakfast and i havent gained a pound in years. The point is a good balance is necessary but exercise is something that is very important. aerobic more so than lifting. If you lift you will lose less weight because you'll be turning it into muscle, I agree with above if you have access to a pool resistance running is very help full. If you dont grab yourself some 2lb hand weights and some sandbags strapped to your ankles and walk that shit'll beat you up untill you're ready to progress on to jogging/running. Due to your size i would stray away from jogging until you are comfortable with your form. else you're knees hips shin and lower back will be way more pissed than you want them to be. (this is what we had our throwers doing during track)
  9. my count for kids i know from bw that have done the newdy route is 3 currently and im sure i've missed a few. 1 of the girls is proud of it, the other is pissed people found out and the 3rd i haven't ran into yet. Its always fucking holarious when you see someone you know in something like this.
  10. My father went through the whole process, vfr wasn't to tough, you can get lessons at almost any local field. VFR is pretty useless as a whole if you actually want to do some traveling. IFR is pretty much a necessity if you want to do anytyhing over the mountians. But once you get it you'll wonder why you ever waited so long. 9 hour drive to S.C. or a 4 hour flight? Plus on a whole planes really aren't that expensive (if you think how much people spend on luxury cars these days). While up-keep is pricey you can join a flight club, or take on partners and buy an airplane jointly. Once I graduate I am definetely getting my liscence.

  16. "And you yourself seem to be of the persuasion that becoming a habitual user has negative consequences, implying that you in some way acknowledge the fact that marijuana is a detrimental substance to one’s health. “…and if I smoked often or anywhere else but at a party I’d begin to feel shitty.” By your own admission you are able to discern the fact that marijuana has deleterious consequences upon a body. Why then would you defend it? Certainly you might take the stance that, “well, eating too much is bad for you too. Are you going to condemn that?” Well, yes, but eating, particularly healthy foods, is something natural and what our bodies were designed to do. There are no harmful effects from eating a pear or an apple, whereas the toxic chemical ingestion from marijuana is scientifically quantifiable. " this is retarded, I've said far too many times and you know this also as truth, ANYTHING and I mean anything in excess is detrimental to ones health. You drink too much water, and die. To much food, become fat and die. To much exercise, long term health problems and probably death. EVERTHING at a high enough frequency can hurt you. So as an answer to your Why do you defend it if it hurts you, Shut the fuck up. and your bible shit is killing me its immoral only because its illegal there is no other basis for your immorality argument. Give that up too, or just chant "its illegal" cause thats all you got on it. also Weed does not need to be altered for consumption. You can walk right up to a plant, pick off a stalk, chew it up, swallow, and guess what you're going to get fucked up. Your basis on the alcohol piece of this argument is a little skewed. Are you saying its ok to alter the process to make alcohol but not ok to consume MJ? Since you brought it up, what is the stance on alcohol as a whole. One would hope that we all know the importance of the beverage in the creation and development of the world and society. Yet its ok to harness the process and make drinks that even in the smallest amounts add a strain to your system yet alcohol is accepted on a global level. Simply because of its history its accepted? Alcohol helped destroy the native americans yet MJ and other psychotropics played a part in their religion and exhistance. The stigma of this being right and this being wrong is a cultural issue versus this universal right and wrong that you continue to refernce. why is this post still going. how many times do we really have to type the same fucking thing.
