  1. I have 96 gt spindles and hubs. Cobra rotors and calipers. On3 rear axles.
  2. So, some may know my build of the 82 is going on and part of it has involved wheel shopping for my new suspension and steering setup. I haven't been able to make any definitive choice on wheels (if you have to know I'm leaning towards staggered rfp1's). My brother gave me a free set to use so I can stop worrying in the mean time and get to work on the car. I need to get it together and dialed in for track days that I've registered. He gave me these and I would like your opinion on if I should run them with /or without center caps (because I they didn't have them currently) and what color they should be powder coated. http://www.andysautosport.com/images/small/capital_wheels/sm__cow-3307a.jpg http://www.andysautosport.com/images/small/capital_wheels/sm__cow-3307c.jpg They are 17x8's and I'm thinking: Bronze Black Gunmetal Here's the car http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=794&pictureid=6737
  3. take dem tails. hollar
  4. It's a small thing. I'm just petty enough to be pissed about it though.
  5. Tell someone you'll replace a trunk latch, keep the car for days and not replace the trunk latch. You're on to something.
  6. I would drive the race car across the street to her one night and knock the bottom out of it. Problem le solved
  7. Soft plastics: Start by getting an industrial grade hot glue gun. you want one with a really big trigger so you can use several fingers. Your hands will get tired with a single trigger. Also get 3m 12 inch 3762 glue sticks, they're really strong. Take your piece and clean, sand and clean again. Now get a piece of cardboard, think the same consistency of a cereal box so it can shape easily to the curves. Wrap the cardboard in tin foil with the edges taped on the back so that the front is perfectly smooth and smear a thin layer of vasoline across the foil. Tape it tightly against the area you're working and come on the backside with your hot glue. It will fill in the area then i also smear additional glue to structural points that make it stronger. If you did it right, 15 minutes later you can pull the cardboard and it will be smooth as glass. No need to sand you're ready to prime and paint. Hard plastics: Clean and sand the pieces then get out the old solder and carefully scrub it in zig-zags across the broken area. Repeat this a few times until they're essentially "welded". Fill the cracks with filler, prime and paint. I've spent less than $100 to do everything with this so far and it's fun. I would really enjoy it if I wasn't sliding it in between my job, business and girlfriend. I'm sick of painting. If I had replaced everything the car would have cut into my go-fast portion of the budget.
