Ok... I posted without doing my research. There is a large community and all sorts of bikes and they're being most commonly referred to as Dirt Jump bikes.
That's what I'm looking for.
-
No... I'm not looking for a 24" cruiser or a 20" bmx bike.
The style of bike I'm looking for doesn't really have a coined category. I have heard people refer to them as what I listed in the original post.
It's basically a mountain bike with more of a BMX bikes geometry. Heavily slanted back bone, but with disc brakes, front suspension and a possibility of a gearset.
I used to ride BMX, but I don't feel comfertable on a 20" anymore. I want to get into ride mountain bike trails and BMX tracks and am looking for something I can do both on.
The specialized P. fits me and my needs perfectly. Besides the P. series, the only other bikes I've seen like it are the Black market bikes and a "dirt jumper" called the Alcatraz from Marin.
-
I know there are a few mountain bike threads on the board right now, but this is a little more specific.
I am looking for any year, make and model of a style of bike know as a Big mx/all mountain/dirt jumper bicycle.
Such kinds of bike are like the Specialized P. series and Black Market bikes.
I don't want to spend a fortune, but would like something nice and not mangled. A crankset would be a plus, but single gear will work as well.
Let me know if anyone has anything of the sorts.
Thanks!

Wraps dont hold up nearly as well as paint. My truck was wrapped a few years ago and it started to show wear immediately. But this is driven daily.
Just like a paint job, it all depends on the prep work, materials used and time taken for a proper installation. I've seen a shitty paint job show almost immediate deterioration as well.
Wraps aren't a permanent solution. However, with the newer vinyls and over laminates, it's not uncommon to see a 5 year WARRANTY placed on a daily driven wrap.
If you've got $20,000 to throw down on a custom paint job, then I say fuck yah do it. If not, a wrap is an excellent option.

I've got a lot of parts left over from a previous CB200 project that I need to get rid of. I would like to sell everything as a package, but if you need anything specifically, just ask.
$100 takes EVERYTHING.
If you want pieces and parts, prices will vary.

Pulled out of a running car that was wrecked.
This motor has supposedly been rebuilt with 2g pistons, 1g rods, headwork, etc.
According to the previous owner the car was running 11.80's with a T3/T4 setup.
Because I can't confirm this info, I'm only asking $400obo
Not included:
Turbo
Intercooler
IC Piping
BOV
Injectors
Flywheel
Everything else seems to be there. I also have the complete engine harness for an extra $100.
Please call Taran @ 614.832.0532 or email SlowMotiion@msn.com for pictures.
Thanks.

1965 Ford F100 Long bed with MINIMAL rust. I can not stress that enough. There are two small spots on the floor near the doors, a little bit on the core support, and that is it.
Interior is all there, just needs cleaned up. Seat shows some wear, but no rips.
All original (besides paint and wheels/tires)
352 V8 - 3 speed with overdrive.
MOTOR and TRANS ARE STRONG!!! The truck will start on the 2nd or 3rd attempt after it's been sitting outside in the cold for weeks at a time. It warms up quick and idles perfect.
THE TRUCK IS ABLE TO BE DRIVEN DOWN THE ROAD!!! However...
It will need brake work and a bit of TLC to be considered legit for a driver. Fix it over the winter and have yourself an awesome cruiser come spring time.
These are old pictures. The passenger side front wheel has been replaced with a wheel/tire that matches the other 3. There is also NO PROBLEM with the hood shutting. It was just popped open while these pictures were taken.
If interested, please call or email.
$1500 FIRM
Thanks,

I ended up finding a RUST FREE 87 Dodge Ram 50. 4cyl, 5 speed, runs GREAT. Doesn't leak, burns a little oil, 300k miles for $600.
It can be done.
Lock. Thanks.

Why don't you buy it then Mike? I heard you know how to drive it pretty well anyways.
-
I don't care what it looks like, I just need something that I don't have to put any money into and can get me to work and back for at least a month.
I've got 2 cars that need work and I need something to drive during the downtime.
Please tell me someone's got something!
Thanks.

My daily driver took a dump on me. I'm in need of at least a long block and trans. Would prefer someones stock take out, but for the right price will consider other options.
The car is currently an auto, but I wouldn't be opposed to switching over to a 5 speed.
I've got to keep this as a super budget build to justify keeping it versus buying another daily.
Thanks guys.

I got this car in non running condition from my sister. She had run it without coolant for a while and finally ran it into the ground. I figured it was just a head gasket, but when I pulled the head off, there was already a new timing belt, water pump and head gasket. I realized the previous owner had stripped out 3 threads in the head and bolted it back together anyways. I ended up replacing the gasket and heli-coiling the block and bolting it back up. I didn't check the head for warpage, but it ran decent up until now (about 2 months). The last week or so, the condition got progressively worse. I started loosing power at take off, then it started idleing rough, then it pretty much lost all power at take off and now it won't start.
Here is a list of issues I had while the car was running and now that it won't start.
*The car was never timed properly and ran its best with the distributor pushed all the way back towards the firewall.
*While the car was running, it had what I thought to be a weird vaccum problem. ONLY AT 1500 rpms, the car would surge really bad. If it was cold out and I started the car, it would go straight to 1500 and sit there at idle and surge... wah wah wah wah wah. It did this until it warmed up, then the rpm's would drop and idle normal right at 750.
*The car began to overheat again. For the first 5 minutes, the temp gauge would rise all the way, hold for a couple seconds and then drop down to normal temps and run fine. I blamed this on a faulty thermostat. I drove it like this for the last week or so. I changed the thermostat and filled the car up with new coolant this weekend, when I went to start the car to bubble the coolant, it wouldn't turn over anymore.
*The car has always shifted hard, feels like it's got a shift kit in it. While driving it would 'bounce' between gears if you were just cruising. The linkage is adjusted as far as it will go.
*The car will not start now. It's got newer cap, rotor, wires, plugs. Car gets spark all the way through every plug. Fuel pump seems to kick on fine, it's got a new fuel filter and there is fuel coming to the resevoir on the fire wall. I have not checked anything on the rail (how would I check the flow to the injectors? how would I know if I had correct pressure? what other things could I check in the fuel system?) Compression shows between 110-120 on numbers 1,3,4. It's right at 100 for #2. What kind of sensors, valves, wiring could prevent me from firing up?
I'm lost at this point... I'm about ready to put a new motor/trans in it. At this point, I almost feel this is the correct option. Any help with these issues would be greatly appreciated. This is my only running car right now, so I'm kind of fucked until I get something worked out.

I drive this car every day. It would make a perfect winter, 2nd or campus car.
New:
Head gasket, water pump, timing belt, oil changed, coolant flushed, trans flushed, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, tires, cd player.
Bad:
Some interior parts have broken clips, needs timed properly (runs fine now, but you can tell it needs adjusted) has rust FORMING on driver side rear wheel well, rear bumper/hatch are misaligned.
$1,500 or trade for small truck, older Ford or 5 speed car. Will pay cash on top of trade for the right car.
Email for pictures...

I've read a lot of reviews on the P.3 and found most love it for intermediate mtn trail riding. I have no intentions of doing any huge drop offs, rock riding and things of the sorts. I'm interested in riding alum creek type trails with a few buddies who will be relatively new to riding, as well as going out to bmx parks, pit bike trails and places like Dans Mountain bike park.
I just feel out of place on a big mountain bike. I'm 6'1" 200lbs and I went and rode a 17" Specialized HardRock yesterday. I had to slam the seat all the way down to feel remotely comfortable. I can't stand having a backbone all up in my nuts either.
I checked out a medium framed P.3 and felt 95% at home. I think I could bump up to a long frame for more of the mtn feel.
Where and what do you ride? Ever ridden a DJ setup? What'd you think?
