Welp, ive made a decision and im selling the 7. A couple good offers came my way for a different vehicle so i have to jump on the opertunity i have. Looking for serious buyers. It's a red rx-7 turbo II with no emissions on it, everything else is standard(including stock tape deck) sunroof, power everything etc. It has a 3" turbo back exhaust from racingbeat on it currently so that will be factored into buyers price. It currently needs new injectors, spark plugs/wires just recently changed. Regular maintence has been done with it(oil changes, etc). Brakes are being replaced this week. the problem is i asked for valid comments and the like, didn't ask for anything negative :| just ideas on engines, i didn't say no to going with a SBC either. No reason to down one over the other i just want ideas on engines period. - the damn commentary on what someone things sucks or doesn't. TC

Berto, like i said i haven't even done a lot of look up on stuff yet, i just started seriously contemplating what to do a couple days ago. I have my beater, I have my track car, and the fd will be my "Damn that's sexy" mobile. And, as far as finishing long term projects...I have a pretty good track record so far :| anyways, thanks for the input, ill start looking into the engine types more and the single conversions etc. now. T.c.

not looking for only just a silly v8 swap, but anything that people have heard of looking to check out the different possibilities. smile.gif Plus, this car WONT be done anytime soon after i get the chasis and what not, it's gonna take a while that's why im planning now to look at what my options will be, ill check into the whole pineapple motor's thing, i hear about em all the time but i haven't done any hard core studying up on them yet T.c. Alright, as some of you may or may not know i do plan on picking up an FD shell sometime this fall/winter. (they go realitively cheap cause people blow the cosmo engine all the time) Im running into some problems tho as far as what i actually would want to do to it. I LOVE how fd's look. Quite sexy to me. And they still handle really well... but. I don't like the way the fd engine handles boost... which is once you start doing anything to it, it doesn't handle it really well at all after awhile. So... im asking you guys out there (Kyle/DriveRight if you can shed some knowledge i would appreciate it) about what some of the options are out there for the chasis. I don't wanna go the v8 route but if i can get RELIABLE power... then i may have to start looking towards it. Im boneing up on my car knowledge too so hopefully when the time came i could do a lot of the fabrication myself. A couple things tho that I want from the car in the long run: A. She runs. She runs strong. She runs long. B. Boost. I gotta have boost, it just wouldn't behoove the body to not have it. C. Won't cost 20k for the engine. Anything that's under that is fine, this isn't going to be like an over night deal, it's going to be staying up at my mom's garage in dublin and will be a long term project. Anyways, thoughts/input/ideas are more then welcome - they're being sought out:D T.c. P.s. it's still giving me shit when i try to accelerate, its not getting something somewhere and it's annoying the piss outta me > redface.gif replaced spark plugs too cause the flooding is causing them to go bad too, blah.

thanks convert, im going to replace it today but i have no idea where the fuel filter is which is mildly annoying anyways ima talk to mark, see if he feels like pointing some light in the right direction for me T.c.

Well my car died on me today which scared the piss outta me, i automatically thought "oh no, apex seal" but no all that stuff is fine. so i let the car sit for a while, let it unflood, and boom started. But this problem has been happening for the past couple of weeks that when the car is warmed up, it doesn't want to start unless i hit the gas a lot, and ontop of that, when im driving it doesn't act like it's getting gas very well anymore, like i can hit the pedal and it "coughs" would be the best way to describe what happens. It won't immediately like, go fast and it was just fine a couple weeks ago so i don't know what happened from then to now. I let my car get really low on gas to the point i had to get my mom to take me to put some gas in a gas can and get it back to my crib so I could put some in. Im going to replace the fuel filter tomarrow so hopefully that fixes the problem but i have this aching feeling that's NOT the problem. So, any suggestions would be nice to have. Mark has some ideas so i'm putting it out here completely so he can sort the problem out as well.

my friend josh turbo charged his car, it's an n/a rex he did all his handling mods and everything but right now he's running like 5 pounds of boost i think...i THINK he's running the 14b turbo, i THINK. I'll find out more and post for you. T.c.
