I want to say thanks also , had a good time other than the exhaust clamp coming off during true street. safety wired it back up and ended up hot lapping the car, bracket racing with gary. unfortunately he whipped on me 4 out of 5 races, I must have been tired, lots of sleeping happened those races for me, thanks again gary!! Lol

agree 100% on workers, the whole problem is we race in the hated street class, the ugly step child of Wednesday night racing.

I actually thought the track prep was better last year on Wednesday nights, but my car dead hooks almost anywhere, but only runs 12.5's and 60 ft's high 1.6's with 235-15 drag radials

 

I remember seeing them spray the whole track one night, couldn't believe my eyes.

 

I wish new management good luck, it can't be any worse than the old guys

I might have some parts you want, but what are your goals for this car? if you want 12's or 11's naturally aspirated ditch tpi and get stealthram. much cheaper and a lot more potential. pm me and ill help you out if you want.

That ford racing guy was Jamie Allison, the director of Ford Racing.

 

About the motor I don't know complete details but there is a member on here who works for roush yates, he might let you know the details.

 

I can tell you the car it self was built with same parts as our 60 and 6 car that we ran all season, the engine was a whole different story, lots more parts to worry about breaking and a lot more heat in engine bay.

 

Also after we broke the records, the next day we had to remove motor so the officials could measure internals , to make sure it was within spec.

 

This motor is what we will be running next year in our prototypes, we will just be running a lot less boost.

 

the motor had more in it , but i believe fuel rails couldn't feed anymore fuel, it is direct injection, with fly by wire. this motor is putting out over 700 hp @ wheels out of a stock block and heads.

Didn't know if anybody saw this, but MSR set new track records at Daytona with new v6 3.5L

ecoboost engine two days ago.

 

It was a fun long day of work but ford was really happy with us.

 

pretty cool what roush yates did with the engine.

if you want you could get a group together and come by the shop, just let me know when you want to do it, best thing to do is look at our schedule and come the week before a race , that way cars are put together and you can see something while your there. mike has a pretty much open door to come by and look at his operations, he is the most fan friendly boss I have ever worked for. great guy!
