If you do not have laser blocker do not do it. I get lasered several times a month. I drive FAST ALL THE TIMEand have not got ticket in years. I run 9500 with zr4 on all vehicles. It is like a license to speed!!!!!

R u road racing car? If so no brained go for coil overs. If not road racing nitrous is the obvious choice. As for brakes just he better pads if that is an issue. Hawks are the shizzle.

Coil over for sure if you are road racing. I switched from Spec Miata Bilsteins (which are good) to some killer JIC FLT-A2's and gained 2 seconds a lap at Putnam park. Totally changed the handling of the car. IF you are not road racing go Nitrous.

Had a great time seeing the guys again. Hope to see everyone at the next event. FYI in the afternoon they were not busting people for safety equipment. I made several low 11 second passes and they said nothing. Earlier in the day they were busting everyone. Weird. maybe they all got there drink on in the afternoon and did not care?

Where is this going to happen and how much to enter?

I have owned a few road race Miatas over the years and they are awesome. If you are going to replace the rotors and calipers go to NAPA and get the same set up as the Mazda Speed Miata OEM, Hawk brake pads, race brake fluid and do stainless brake lines. This set up was more than enough to handle my 260 WHP Miata at Mid Ohio last year even after an hour enduro (no fade). The rotors are larger than stock to help dissipate the heat better. As for stiffening my opinion is if you are going to road race you should have a cage (mine is a hard dog weld in) The problem with this is you need a hard top and you are going to lose your convertible. The other option is flyingmiata has all different types of stuff to stiffen the chassis. Since I did not go that route I would call them for advice as they know there stuff. Enjoy,Buzz

I would say that if you do not have a laser blocker do not bother. 85 to 90% of the time here in Columbus I get hit with laser and if you are only detecting it it is to late. Call escort and get your blocker fixed. The one you have had defective cases. They will fix it and you will be good to go.

I just got some Nitto NT 01 to replace my 555's. For the dry the o1's are way better.

I have owned a QX 56 since 2004. It has been a great vehicle. If you have been inside one you will notice it has way more interior space than GM large SUV's especially the second a third rows. If you need more interior room the Nissan is the pick here. If that is not a priority go drive both and see which one you like.

Get on E bay and buy a turbo kit. Those cars are built for boost. You probably only have about 100 rwhp. You can double that easily with a turbo on the cheap.

Had a great time meeting some new people and hanging out with old friends. Ran a best of 11.17 at 124. I did not do any full passes in the morning as they were cracking down on people with no cages. I think I could have done a little better when it was cooler. Overall great event.
