  1. Looks great! You can never go wrong with a vette.
  2. Take it from someone who as a kid shot a gun off in the house by mistake if you have kids and guns the guns MUST BE LOCKED UP! Kids love to explore and show off and that can be deadly. Luckily as a child when I shot the gun in the house nothing happened but it could have been worse. As for exposing them to guns I have a 5 and seven year old and I have started them off with BB guns (only with my direct supervision). This is a fun easy way to expose them. Ii would not leave a loaded gun in the house of car unless it was locked as your kid will find a way to get to it. Personally I bought a biometric safe and Ii keep it next to the bed for home protection. There is no way the kids can get into it and it opens fast for me if I need it.l
  3. There is a guy next to my office on Stringtown Road that does a great job and is very cheap. Just go to 2222 Stringtown road and when you pull into that plaza you will see his small shop. Sorry I do not have the number but if you go during work hours he is always there. You could also call the Ink Well in Grove City as they will have the number.
  4. Where have you been? Hopefully I will see you at the track or gym some time.
  5. Bryan is awesome also. It is just I have been using Eric for years and he was in town. I have used Byran in the past with great results and would not hesitate recommending him.
  6. Maybe, the timing sucks as I am supposed to go to Putnam park for a road racing thing on Saturday. I need to decide if I want to road race or drag race.
  7. 2009 CTS V. Modded by IPS (bolt ons and stock bottom end),tuned by Eric Sgambellone and Bill Hatzer.
  8. I always new that you cannot compare different dynos numbers but this confirms it. This also confirms the value of a good tuner. I went to Brians LSX event on Saturday morning and the car put down a disappointing 621 rwhp and 599 rwt. I say disappointing as I had the car tuned on a mustang dyno in Indiana (Wait For Me Performance) and the car put down 683 rwhp. Brian noticed the tune from WTM was off so I contacted Eric Sgambellone and he met me at IPS Saturday night (that's customer service!). Without touching anything on IPS's Mustang dyno the car put down 592 rwhp and 556 rwt. That is 91 rwhp less than the Musantang dyno at WFM and 29 less rwhp than Brian dyno jet or 5% less on the Mustang dyno. Eric (with Bill Hatzer Helping)then proceeded to "fix my tune". When all was done the car put down 632 rwhp and 589 rwt. So with a better tune the care picked up 40 rwhp and 33 rwt. He also fixed a few minor drivability issues so the car feels completely stock "except for when you press the peddle on the right". Does this mean the car would put down 663 (5% more) on Brians dyno? Who cares as this proves dynos are only good for tuning and comparing with numbers on the exact same dyno. I would like to give a special thanks to Eric and Bill for meeting me late to fix my prior tune from another shop. They are the best!
  9. The turbo kit was a stock Mazda speed Miata turbo with an E bay intercooler and pipes. I think I have $600 in parts. As for me fitting I do not fit in Miatas but I have an aluminum seat bolted to the floor and my steering wheel is a deep dish "Nascar style" so my knees do not hit it. The car fits like a glove.
  10. I have owned two Miatas that I have road raced for the past 4 years and I have never had one issue. They are extremely reliable and fun to drive. They are slow in a straight line but that is easily fixed with a turbo. These engines are low compression stock (i think 8.5-1) so they are built for boost. I added a stock turbo last year and with no other mods the car went from 118 whp to 254 whp. In a 2300 pound car that is perfect for the road course. I would recommend a 1994 or newer as that is the first year with the 1.8 engine.
  11. If you have not been to Marion you should try it. Great time!!
  12. I have bras on all of my cars. I use Max at 614.260.3707. I had another person do it one time and the fit sucked. Max does a GREAT job. Good luck,Buzz
  13. Kurt Urban screwed Mike and I when we had him do work on our Vettes so I would say hell no to him. We drove all the way to Detroit and spent a bunch of money only to return and have our stuff running like crap. Call me if you want details.
  14. How can I get in for the track rental?
  15. Looks bad ass. Will need to go check it out!
  16. What are the passenger rules there?
  17. If you are building a toy to race I would say C5 for sure as it is lighter and cheaper. Suspension is better also. C6 is a great car but heavier and does not handle as good. I have road raced both and there is no comparison.
  18. I had him do mine also. You will be happy with the results!
  19. Both bottom ends will easily handle 550 rwhp with a proper tune. The weak link is the valve train and rear (on CTS-V). The LS2 block is stronger if boring out. MTI says the 97-99 LS1 block is stronger for boring than the ls6 block.
