  1. By far the best quote I've ever heard from Everest: "Cool, I made it.....I have to get this oxygen mask fixed and get off this mountain.” And you know she's in good shape. “They won’t really notice that I’m a black woman, but with a bunch of guys isolated somewhere, and there’s only 15 women, yeah, they’ll notice you.” I'd noticer her in a damn Starbucks. http://www.danenberg.org/ http://members.cox.net/danenberg/climb/smd9.jpg

  3. Ladies, pay attention: If you wear so much makeup that your face is never touched by sunlight, this will happen to you.
  4. magic 8 ball says: 5x100 I dont realy know, seems logical, though.
  5. Hopefully Tesla isn't the only thing that the radio will play. I wana FLIIIIIIEEEEEEEIIIIIIE up to the ANGIEIELS!!!!!!!!!! Mutant MR2 spyder with no exhaust note.....what does it weigh?
  6. Lawyers are expensive, and the proccess can last decades.

  8. Current example: Guy just arrestedfor raping a 17 month old child and then killing him. He got his ass beat in his cell immediately before his bail hearing. No matter what you do, in jail, they will find out what you did. He's on suicide watch now. The worst thing you can do to this guy is give him life in prison.
  9. That's why you're not a shrink. The cost of feeding and housing them till death is less then the cost of their public defenders during the appeal proccess.
  10. Ok, and it's this I'm torn about: *Such individuals are no longer classified as "human" in my book. They forfeit their humanity when the commit the act (or order the act, in some cases). *But, deciding who lives and who dies is not my job. Families of the victims want the death penalty out of anger. This is not something we should condone as a modern society, it's barbaric. My propsed solution, lock them up and study them. A corpse is worthless.
  11. Heart Eli, and OSUGT (your PM box is full. ) Eli's point in the Cliff is one I've tried to make before. "I wanna kick some ass" is not the mentality that you want taking you into battle. People incapable of making cool headed and informed descisions should not be making descisions. The real reason that Bush veto'd all of the legislation: Because he said he would. Plain and simple. It's likely that he didn't even read it. He vowed to veto all federal funding of stem cell research, and he followed through. Technicaly thats not even making a descision.
  12. The fact of the matter is, there's something like an estimated 13 people on death row right now that are innocent (if stats prove correct). Figure half of them actualy are. Killing them is wrong. Killing killers in not neccesary. So, anti: 1 pro: 0
  13. lol @ Andrew Clinton probably would have got'r wet.
  14. *secure Airlines = good, I dontneed my nail clippers. But what about everything else? We've tightened up on one front out of hundreds. There are ways to kill thousands without using a plane. *Mexicans aren't the security problem, the boarders are. *Bombing the piss out of people makes them dead, the surivors are angry with us. Your asertion that Fear is the only way to get people to cooperate is the most faciest thing I've ever heard come out of a so-called American. Fear makes people angry, it does not make people cooperate, it makes them act like it (I'm sure Dr. Jon can back that up). The Britsh had the most powerfull military force on the planet, we suffered many defeats. Did it stop the revolution? In terms of comparitive funding, we were alot worse off then than the terrorists as a collective are now. The difference is, they have yet to organize. *The USS Cole was not in New Your city, neither was the Kenyan ebassy. I said the US. Dude, thank you for staying on topic. Nice to see some one is. They actualy are, to a degree. Keep in mind, they're buisnessmen before they are doctors, and anymore it is tough to convince the board to front cash for new projects, let alone contraversial ones. Securing govermentn grants and funding is actualy the means to securing other investors. As Nevarmore said above, things such as this are often a path to bans. No one wants to invest in a new technology if its going to get banned halfway through development. I'm here to spread joy, Jason.
  15. I'm not flexible. Its not a slap in the face, its a call out for their protection: *How many troops have died in Iraq? How many have spent years away from home because of it? *How many homeland security projects actualy get the support and funding that they are promised? *How fucked up has the CIA been over the last 3 years? The only organization that has gotten anything worth while to fight terror has been the NSA. I want our troops home I want our boarders strengthend I want our firemen, the CIA, and the FBI to be given the resources they need. You're trying to twist words and make me out to be something I'm not...and you suck at it. I love my country. I want to protect it, I dont want to "look" like I'm protecting it. There's a big difference.
  16. Ehhh my mispellings are intentional. They make it known that I didn't copy/paste my stuff from anywhaere else...yeah. LOL yes, because: *Old women cannot get fingernail clippers on planes *Mexacans arent terrorists, let them in *bombing the piss out of people makes them love you *Terrorist attacts n the US have always happend immediately after one another. Oh wait, none of that is right *commercial airlines are safer...and bankrupt. Nothing else is being so closely monitored *Our borders are stil a bleeding sore *Our actions overseas, though we've killed plenty, have spawned an explosion of terrorist recruitment *It took them 10 years to formulate and implement a second attact on the US. Rest assured that one is being planned now, and not on so small a scale as the tits in florida. You're not safer, you only think you are because you're distracted. Killing terrorists does nothing to stop terrorism, true story. Bin Laden, Amedenajad, Nasarallah, Hamass, they all get their power from public outrage. Not Islam, not a hatred of freedom, but public outrage at the west. Thes figures are not the heads of any snakes, they are the flowers of a weed. Cut one off, anothe pops back up. the only way to successfuly defeat them and to secure our nation from attack is to take away their outrage. Bush is feeding it to them in spades. He's done so much for Hamaas campaigns and for Al Quaida recruitment, they should send him a check.
  17. Can they be trained to attack?
  18. So instead of asking Where are we going and how did I get in this handbasket, just hold on and enjoy the ride? Sounds fun! Please, for the love of Zeus, let it be Mccain 2008, with Rudy as his running mate. He'd slaughter hilliary.
  19. I didnt say we were running anything Mike, i just said the administration says that they are fine with what the Israelis are doing. "We aren't officialy supporting", but were not "officialy condemning" either. All thats been said is that "Israel has the right to defend themselves." Now, back on topic with Stem cells. Why is it immoral to work with them, but not immoral to do all that other stuff? Learn me somthing, I'm in neeed of conservative tutelage! Oh and Dr. Jon; This was going to be a current events post in The Parking Lot...but I saw the future and how it would end up, so I saved us time and cut right to it in here. Current event: Bush's first veto in his presidential career. He veto'd all forms of gobmin spending on Stem Cells, including the use of cells that are already on ice, and have been for years. To not use them is to throw them away, and waste them. I'm pondering the logic behind his descision.
  20. I was refering his condoning Israel vs Lebenon, not Iraq. Actualy no, it's quite nice, apart from the frustration of sharing it with angry morons who feel the need to bomb everything that looks at them funny, vote on fear and not on issues, follow blindly the man-child they voted for, and are willing to sign away their constitutional rights for a sense of security. Seeing enemies everywhere they look and fearing them so much, it must realy suck to be a bitch like that. The real enemies to the American people are actualy very easy to find, they're on TV on the time. In fact, they love it.
  21. http://americablog.blogspot.com/2006/07/bush-gives-female-german-chancellor.html Not quite the same hit with the ladies as Clinton was..... http://americablog.blogspot.com/uploaded_images/bushmassage-740263.jpg If that's not the look of "EEHHHHWWW GET IT OFF!", what is?
  22. So, that's clearly ok. Shelling neighborhoods full of non combatants, hoping to score a hit to your enemy, totaly cool. Using cells that would normaly be disguarded for life saving medical research, wrong, unethical, immoral. Gotcha, what lovely priciples. Kill only in anger, not for any long term benift. Musta been in a chapter I missed.
  23. Ohh its just like The Blade Runner!
  24. *Killing innocent cells in the hope of saving millions of lives. = Wrong *Killing hundreds of innocent civilians in the hope of hitting a Hezbollah goon. = just fine *Beginning a war that costs thousands of innocent lives in the hope of finding fictional WMD: = Super dooper and *Upholing blantant discriminatory laws because "Its the will of the people". = ok *70%+ of the populus wanting legislation passed which will lead to lives saved. = Wrong If you're going to claim to beleive something, at least be consistent. So, Medical Benifits = bad But there's all this other killing of innocent people that he's clearly supported. Where is the pattern here? *Killing is only ok if I say it is? *The only acceptable reason to kill is malice?
