  5. Yeah, all mother nature did was give you life, fuck that shit. graemlins/thumb.gif
  6. Are you telling me New Rome's city hall wsn't a work of art? tongue.gif The reason they last so long is, ironicaly enough, because they lacked modern building materials. They used rock, good rock, marble and lots of it. The Steel Building Depot mail order chapels are fuckin rediculous.
  7. If you haven't seen it, The Midnight Mass with the Pope is worth watching for a while, just for the mere fact that they show lots of St Peter's Basilica. To me, its absolutely fuckin amazing that men 500 years ago built that massive structure. Hell, it be amazing even it was 10 years ago. It covers 23 sqaure kilometers, and its 430~ feet from the floor to the top of the dome. It seat 60,000 on one level, no stadium seating. Its like the Akron blimp hangar, but every inch is meticulously decorated. http://jacinto.yi.org/italy/20011129/11290011-st-peters-basilica.jpg http://www.debevec.org/FiatLux/media/images/st-peters-plan.jpg

  13. ney, there are "retailers". BUT, to get your liscense, you do have to trap your own and train it. Its actualypretty rare to even see a coopers hawk round here. To see 2, and to have them fight in your front yard...go buy a lotto ticket.
  14. Ya need a hard to get liscense. Plus, the birds themselves cost more then your average DSM.
  15. Take heed to this, guys; I have learned through experience that who you're idea girl is is just a quantitative assessment on paper. For a happy, long term relationship, you need the big L word, and atractive traits "on paper" have nothing to do with it. The big L hits you like a truck, and ya never know where it'll come from. I'm dating a girl that meets about 93% of my ideal, and have been for a good while, the truck has yet to hit.
  16. Birds of prey > * Had a pair of red tails by our old house for a couple yers, pumped out some young'ns. Used to see them hunt in the feilds. Anyone ever see an owl? A few years back I saw a HUGE horned owl take a squirrel up in St Ignace michigan. THe Owl had to have a wing span of about 4-5ft and didn't make a fuckin sound, I mean none, not even a wooosh, just the scream of the squirrel when it got hit. I was quite amazed.
  17. i went the first 10 years of my life with no sexual stimulation, how hard could one yer be? tongue.gif
  18. ..egad...my inuendo meter is off the chart, where do I start!

  21. Asimo is quite the pimp peice of material. Technicaly, all he's doing there is completeing his walk program at a faster pace. The thing that distinguishes running from fast walking is the fact that in a run, both feet leave the ground. Asimo still has one foot firmly planted for each step. they have gotten the locomotion of the run, hop, skip etc etc perfected, but in suspended half body models. The tricky part is getting the little bastard to maintain his balance, AND provide the additional power needed. He still gets most of his walking based sensory data from what he feels from each footstep. Visualy, all he can do is descern the existence of objects and avoid them. They'll need to develop another form of balance data aquisition to get him hoping and running, or else he wont know where the ground is once his feet leave it. He can probably hop, because his feet aren't moving relative to where they started, but a run will require much better balance, sensory perception, and motor skills. Cant wait, this shit is great. I have a feeling his footsteps are going to be historicaly significant. graemlins/thumb.gif
