  1. IMO bowl games start tomorrow night. All this 6-6 vs 7-5 teams in the Hoosier Daddy Bowl of the South crap is garbage. Dad and I saw one game earlier this week where literally 75% of the stadium was empty. I mean, c'mon.

PM me. I can pick some up for you if need be. Or Steve...he's from Hillyard. Maybe he can help.

I'll take 6 off your hands.
  4. Dad's bday today. Engine fired right up. Rebuilt 100% by us. Only brand new parts are the 12v generator and the fuel pump. Ran smooth too. Vid possibly later. He retires in 3 months or so. Should be a great deal more progress happening then.
  5. Yes. And? Then what'd you do with it? :gabe: 40% of the people in existence have cancer? That's MUCH higher than I imagined. Like I stated in every post I've made, YMMV and everyone else will tell you that what they have or haven't owned and have or haven't had experience with is the best Lauren. I believe NB stated this as well and I agreed. Merry Christmas to all!
  6. As stated... 1) Great crossbow. Can't wait to shoot it with ya. 2) Don't listen to pundits (me included if seen as such) when it comes to trucks. Find a DEAL.
  7. I don't really disagree. I just don't like them. It wouldn't be bad for a fam and small loads. Brother looked at a Wrangler, Avalanche, and Titan. Settled on the Titan and hasn't regretted it. They're fine though. I just think they're ugly. Same with the friggin' Ridgeline.
  8. Look, as stated, everyone will have an opinion. NB put it best in that regard. Hell, my 1998 has ~290K and I drive it to Cbus from Logan daily without a hiccup. Others would say they knew a friend of an uncle who had a dog that their sister owned whose previous master had a 1998 F150 and it didn't last 14 miles. Find a good deal for YOU and go from there. Best of luck.
  9. Wow. I didn't realize every last one didn't include literally every single one I've ever know anyone to drive personally. Weird that 100% means not near 100%. :lolguy:
  10. 1) What crossbow? This is very important to...well, just me. B) What are you looking to haul? Another good suggestion. http://images.amcnetworks.com/ifc.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/Hyde-8.gif

  12. Come to think of it, if we meet up you can shoot any combo of firearms, my crossbow, compound bow, and drive a 98 JAG150 (for no reason whatsoever), a 2012 Titan, 2014 F150 Ecoboost, and whatever year my Father in Laws Chevy is, and whatever year my Brother in Laws Chevy is...if we meet at dads that is. He's got the land to shoot and everything would be there since the FiL lives on the same road out in the country.
  13. I like how you posted 2 pics just in case he didn't know what your average, run of the mill, old dude CV looks like. If you want a FAST old person cars as an option I have the 2008 CVPI. It also has mustang wheels so it's cool too. :gabe: Wish we had the '52 done. Maybe next year...or the year after.
  14. Ah, the ol' spark plug rocket issue? This is good advice but also was a probably in a small percentage of trucks. I've seen the 5.4 issues pop up on trucks under 80K but also seen dad's 5.4 2007 go to 160K with no problem and since it was so clean and well maintained bring him a hefty trade in towards his Ecoboost. He got it in '09 with I think ~40K on it, drove it to 160K and traded it in in 2015. Paid $17K out the door, got $13,500 trade in all those years and miles later. Wasn't bad for a 5.4l. Regularly pulled a 2500 trailer and large tractors from C-ville to Adams Co. easily too. Can used Ecoboost's be had for that low yet? I genuinely have never looked.
  15. I recommend F150, but most people know that. I will say that my brother has a Titan ext cab and my buddy Justin at Pickups Plus loves his Titan. I was "meh" on them until I took bro's to the mountains on hunting trips twice. Performed marvelously. Many here will recommend GM's. I loved my '78 but I don't really like the newer ones. Mostly personal opinion. They're all really comparable with newer models if all you're looking for is a 4 door family hauler than can handle a load larger than just groceries but don't need to bother with hauling lumber and supplies for work every day. I recommend telling Jordan, "I need a 4 door no older than (year) with these options. Must be one of these makes and under this amount of miles. I have this much to spend." Then ya just sit back and wait for the call. In the end, for what it seems you need, Ferd, Cheby, Nissan, or Toyota would do you well. Hell, probably Dodge even.
  16. Well, I definitely appreciate those kind words from a very credible source, but I don't know about all that. Agreed 100%. I love helping out/sharing any knowledge I have. I may also learn something, and if I can't help or can't learn I usually know someone (like you or other connections) who can help and DO have extensive knowledge. Firearms? Self defense? Hunting? Archery? I don't know why but I know professionals in many fields. I have a buddy that has actually been part of a bow hunting tv show from right here in central Ohio. Always happy to help and always looking to learn/meet others.
  17. Since they're all made by the same great company and all in the same general price range I'd say you can't lose with any of them. For real though, my advice is as such: you're starting out. Find a good used crossbow and have fun. Upgrade later. Same as with any hobby. Dip your toes in the water. No need to break the bank. I shoot and hunt with a crossbow I got off a friend in exchange for some light repair work. It's approx 15 years old but will drop a buck easy. Any of what you posted would be great. Won't break the bank, will get you good reps in, and will def feed the fam if that's what you're after.
  18. Oh, and as for price/what you get/what you need? Barnett has all you need and more.
  19. CFB thread aside, I wouldn't mind meeting ya and helping in any way. I'll share any bow/firearm/self defense knowledge I have and be the first to tell ya what I still don't know and where you can get additional info/training. I've shot with Joe, Mitch, Steve, and a plethora of others on here. I've hunted for food and cleaned game. What little bit of info I know I'll gladly share whenever man, regardless of what you're wearing.
  20. Barnett makes a hell of a product. HIGHLY recommend. Anytime you want to hunt/shoot a compound or a crossbow, or hell, a firearm, I have all and would welcome ya to try any. But yeah, I love Barnett personally.
  21. Oh, and one SEC team that 'Bama struggled against. But great point. Truly.
