  1. Up for sale is my 1998 GMC Suburban 2500 4x4 with the 6.5L Turbo Diesel engine.

I bought this specifically because it had the Turbo Diesel engine which gets much better fuel economy than the gasoline engine. On the highway it gets around 20mpg.

    Clean Title (can e-mail carfax)

180k miles (nothing for a diesel)

    2500 4x4

    6.5L Turbo Diesel engine

4L80E Automatic Transmission (Heavy Duty 4spd w/ overdrive)

4x4 with selectable 2wd Hi, 4wd Hi, Auto 4wd Hi, & 4wd Lo with diff lock

    3.73 gears

Class III hitch rated up to 10,000lbs

Leather seats with removable 3rd row

The maintenance is up to date and the following items have been replaced within the past year.

    Lift Pump

    Injection Pump

    New style PMD

    Alternator

    Starter

    & both batteries

I have the original window sticker, owners manual, and sales brochure. This truck cost $43k new so you are getting a heck of a deal for $6900. It also has Boost, EGT, & Transmission temperature gauges mounted on the drivers side A-pillar.

Haul your family, haul your boat, tow your house, or drive thru deep snow & mud. This is a super dependable 4x4 rig that can seat 8 and still get reasonable fuel economy with the efficient Turbo Diesel engine.

    $6900

E-mail with questions or if you want to see any more pictures. If serious call 937 309-4416

    Thanks,

  2. oh and a title is a must. oh and can i ride a 2 stroke at wayne?

    Of course!

I ride my 01 cr250r there all the time, all you need to do is take the title to the BMV and get your state sticker. Then you just buy a day, weekend or season pass at any ranger station in Wayne.

  3. follow this flow chart...

    http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/Bluegorilla/2009-07-29_130539_6.5_p0216.pdf

im thinking the stepper motor, crank sensor so on...with the values out that far...

has the code always been there or just out of the blue?

Thanks for that PDF, Ill read thru that today and mess around with it when I get home tonight.

Also do you have the document for "Fuel Pump Injection Timing Adjustment" ?

  4. I just bought a cheap 98 GMC Suburban 2500 4x4 with the 6.5L Turbo Diesel to use as a tow vehicle.

The truck runs great but has a SES light P0216 (Injection Timing Control Circuit)

It starts easily, does not smoke, runs strong and the clatter is a bit loud on cold start so I am guessing that the timing is a bit advanced.

I logged some data on my scanner and it seems to tell the same story

At fully warm steady state idle condition

    Actual IP timing is 23.1

    Desired IP timing is 10.3

    TDC offset is 5764.7 ??? (should be inbetween -2.5 & 2.5)

I am guessing that the pump is clocked too advanced, is mounted one tooth off, or the stepper motor took a dump.

I plan to loosen the Injection pump up this weekend and rotate it slightly to see if i can get Actual and Desired IP timing to match. My Diesel knowledge is pretty limited so if that does not work I would prefer to just take it somewhere and get it fixed.

Any suggestions for a good diesel shop in Columbus with 6.5L TD experience?

  5. http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/1406148804.html. I have a 2001 rail buggy that has a ohio title.
