Thanks again for a full day of classroom, hands-on and scenario exercises... and, of course, the hospitality. I appreciate what was presented and look forward to building on it. This was definitely something I would not have received in a cookie-cutter course. Take care and see you again in the future

My dad bought it off of my aunt. She "had it somewhere" and would get it to him. That was years ago and both have forgotten about the whole thing. My dad says he can get one if need be.

Good for parts or maybe a project car (frame/body has rust). Disassembled while running on 3 cylinders. Tranny is/was in good shape. 99% of the car is there, but it just needs A LOT of TLC. Taking ANY offer. Car is located in Westerville/Polaris area. No title. E-mail for more info: boostme97@hotmail.com http://www.columbusdsm.com/forum/attachment.php?s=&postid=45370 http://www.columbusdsm.com/forum/attachment.php?s=&postid=45371 http://www.columbusdsm.com/forum/attachment.php?s=&postid=45372

Doing weird stuff (fuel cuts out, won't shift)

The TCU went into safe mode. That's all I know regarding autos Fuel pick-up usually isn't an issue w/ AWDs, even with very low tank levels. Were you on the gas around these turns or just cruising? How old are your plugs, wires and fuel filter? -
VFAQ is your friend. Starting that late in the day, I hope you've got alternate transportation set aside for Friday 2G AWD clutches own tongue.gif I'll be in the area, but unsure as to what I'm doing. Feel free to call me (# is on the DSM board) if you get hung up on anything. P.S. Don't touch the driver's side suspension. The half shaft will fall out when the tranny drops and make sure you guide it back in on the way up.

Keep an eye out for kicking the lever out of gear at high RPMs. With an AWD, ask if the transfer case recall has been performed. (Regardless of the answer, take a peak underneath from the passenger side and see if there's a definitive build up of oil burned on the exhaust near the forward driveshaft yoke.) Watch for sticky rear brakes, shaft play on the turbo (10mm socket w/ extension or a long phillips screwdriver will get the intake piping off--do before starting engine ), automatic seat belts falling of tracks (there's a recall for those too, I think)...that should cover some of the more common items.

Check the other board

The only thing to kinda watch out for is the auto tranny itself. My 93 NT auto worked fine and never let me down, but I could tell it just wasn't the same over time. Not sure what was wearing nor how long it was going to last. Last I heard it was still going though
-
Maybe if it was a 2G. Jamie

Typically 4WD moves all four wheels at the same rate while AWD allows the wheels to move at variable rates. This isn't a strict definition, as one type has been labelled the other, but I find it to be the simplest. Jamie

Stock 1G DSM turbo was a 14B on the manual and 13B on an auto. Both are smaller than the 16G and do not like more than mid-teen PSI on the two liter. Jamie

Hard to say, but it is a DSM after all Try bleeding the clutch line and making sure it's adjusted properly (above the clutch pedal, under the dash). If still no luck, then it's probably the clutch itself or the tranny. Jamie
