  1. '05 xB. It was overheated and warped the head. They are offering $2k trade in on it and we found a motor for $1200 RETAIL with 30k on it. I think I might just offer then $2500 for it and have Andy and his dad pick it up. Blue book for a 30k '05 xB in good conditions is $11-12k. What they don't know can't hurt them, or me hopefully.
  2. Okay here's the deal. There's a car in our shop with a blown motor. I want to buy it, I offered the customer $2k cash for the car. The dealership offered them $2k trade in. The owner's son found out that I wanted to buy the car and got pissed off about it. Now legally, if I buy the car from the customer, could I be fired? I don't understand how it'd be possible. Unless they just found some other BS reason to fired me unrelated to this b/c they were mad. Legal buffs, help me please?
  3. Won't happen. You'll start out making 35k-45k. It's the truth, like it or not.
  4. Well yeah. But you had to do all the GM online training first and all the IDLs to even go to hands-on. I was probably the highest trained tech at Saturn when I left. I had GM master in engine performance, brakes, and steering/suspension. Usually you just go to Dayton and Canton for most of the hands on, but there's only a few hands on per section. It doesn't end up being a ton of training. I was sent to NYC for my engine performance hands on, that was kinda nice though. I had ever single web based training done in all required sections and most IDLs. I was kind regreting not taking all those training credits and just going to a GM shop, but I just wouldn't enjoy it as much as working on Toyotas. I have to start all over now. What kind of shoes do you wear? I usually wear crosstrainers b/c they are easier on my ankles, but have been thinking of looking at some nice boots.
  5. Most places nowadays don't do the whole "factory trained" thing anymore. Most of it is computer based with very little hands on. I know with the dealership I've worked at both GM and Toyota are like that. Experience means more than anything else in the car business. Just try to get an apprentice gig with some master tech at a dealership and learn from there. The whole feel like crap thing, I'm only 22 and I feel like crap almost everyday. My back hurts, my neck hurts, my feet hurt, plus I'm stressed out a lot. It's a pretty stressful job, unless you have a lot of experience at the dealership it can be pretty stressful. Starting out the first couple years are the hardest.
  6. Who cares about the SC300? I'd rather see pictures of the MK2 Celica-Supra.
  7. I really want to join a softball team. Columbus Racing softball team?
  8. I used to be good. I worked at The Grind Skateshop for about 4 years. I don't really skate much anymore, once every couple months. I've fractured my left ankle too many times to remember.
  9. Yeah sounded like you could hear the teacher in the background at the end.
  10. http://botzo.com/wp-content/uploads/Lifted%202007%20Tundra.jpg American what?
  11. That's only b/c Toyota doesn't have a diesel truck. Their gasoline trucks have a huge resale value compared to US gasoline trucks.
  12. ST185 All-Trac Celica. AWD turbo and you can find a good one for around $7-9k. It really depends on what you're trying to say with losing money. These cars will only increase in price from here on out. They are very rare and in 10-15 years could carry a pretty high price tag.

I drove my Cressida around in the snow and that thing was a tank.
  16. Yeah, you're dumb. My wife is a dog trainer at the Hilliard Petsmart. She could definitely help you, if you go in just ask for Layne Sahr. I believe classes are $109 for an 8 week course with 1 hour training class once a week. Just a little over $12 per class, a pretty decent deal. What kind of dog is it? Some dogs can't really be trained to stay without a leash. Dogs that are very independent like Huskies and Malamutes.
  17. No way. I'll have to come check it out soon Brad. Just don't drive it like an idiot. lol
  18. Well I think he was just saying it b/c the Iphone automatically corrects your typos.
