I'm goin to call cols joint and clutch in the morning I was just wondering how much a driveshaft colud be shortened I can get one a little shorter but th eone I have was free so if it works I'll save some money
-
I need to get a driveshaft shortened anybody know how much you can take out of one its about nine inches too long and its aluminum if that makes a difference any info appreciated as always
-
it calls for stock rod length because the crank increases the stroke on a stock bottom end. you can use a 6 or a 6.125 rod but you'll have to replace the pistons. watch your piston to valve clearance too, you may have to notch the pistons to get it to work properly. HTH

after the first time its easy you need some help bring your car by 20 minutes a side tops if you have the new rotors
-
try to use tubes it keeps the port velocity up (scavenges better) an open manifold while ok for simply directing the exhaust into a pipe creates an area of intermintent high and low pressure depending on which cylinders are firing. in english the turbo will(or should) spool faster with tube headers vs a manifold becasue it directs the exhaust directly to the turbo without mixing with the pulses from the other cylinders

try replacing the flasher first its probably just wearing out
-
check the rearend do you have a posi? it could be wore out or need a fluid change you could have lost pinion preload from the impact even though it was low speed it was a heavy ass truck dat hit you

What good is a lug nut wrench with no spare tire? </font>in case you have to smack someone down when you sandbag them and they want to whip your ass at 2 am and your all alone tongue.gifOriginally posted by bigbabyjesus:</font><blockquote>quote:</font><hr />Originally posted by VTEC Wheels ®:
Well, you could start by taking out the spare tire, jack, but not the lug wrench (you never know when you'll need it). And then if you want to get a little more extreme, but want to be able to put the car back together easily you take out the seats....all but the driver's seat. You could take out all your stereo equipment, and if you still want to listen to some music take out everything but the deck and front speakers.

you can also gut some other stuff look for bracing in the doors (you have to cut it out) there will also be bracing between the trunk and rear seat cut it too then look at the brakcets that hold up body panels and bumpers remove the unnesecary ones and drill a bunch of half inch holes int the ones you have to keep rip out the headliner HTH
-
yep I got one send me a pm and I can work out a good time to loan it to you

-
-
actually in 1972 you could get 2.32 and 2.56 they suck bad if you have a 10 bolt I may have some 3.90's for sale soon if I can get ahold of some good 4.56's or 5.13's
-
two sided tape works good I mounted a cb to a dash with it once cb is alot bigger than a turbo timer should work good
-
235 stands for the width. you have too look it up on a tire chart
60 is the aspect ratio or the profile its the ratio between the width and height of the tire
R stands for radial
15 stands for the diameter
