  1. oh yea i totally forgot about the S2000 engine. that is becoming another increasingly popular swap for all sorts of japanese cars. some of the AE86 S2000 swaps are among my favorites. just because of the stock properties of the engine, it makes a good all around track and street motor. hooray for high rev.
  2. i think they are cool, on top of being extremely versatile. People have put rotary engines in them, as well as small block V8's. Basically, whatever you can dream up you can do with the right modification and space.

  4. if you are serious about modding a saturn, while it wont be worth it any way shape or form, there is always this website that i found when i thought i was gonna get a free saturn: http://www.turbosaturns.net/ there are guides there on how to turbo charge, super charge, or nitrous saturns. there are also some hilarious videos modded mustangs and stuff getting smoked my these saturns on the strip. ...still dont think its worth it though.
  5. Hey guys! I havent been to this forum in a while and I am looking to get active again. I would like to start by trying to sell the crap I have in my garage. As I dont have a camera, I dont have pictures (yet anyway). A few years ago, before my dad died of cancer, we were building a Porsche 924 rally car. One of my dad's friends gave him a 924 with a 944 engine in it, since then and my dad's passing, we gave the car back to my firend and I have this stockpile of 924 parts in my garage that I want to get rid of so I can fund a better car than the one I already own ('88 Cavalier 4dr Automatic with so many rust holes you could call it weight reduction). Anyway, off the top of my head, this is what I have (could be updated later). 2 Porsche 924 engines 3 hoods, 2 sets of doors, 2 hatches 1 set of black porsche wheels (5 bolt) 1 set of audi quattro 4000 cs wheels brake rotors center consoles make me an offer on prices, as i really dont know what each thing is worth.
  6. already have some artic silver from the last 2 computers i built. (that shit is expensive!) yea i am looking in getting ramsinks also, but i was gonna go for a zalman heatpipe cooler
  7. yea, the only thing i have to worry about now is finding time and money to go to the Micro Center on Bethel and picking up a better VGA cooling system than stock.
  8. can one of you two zip all the pictures and videos and send it to me over aim or something? i forgot to get them off of Lycwolf on the network edit: nvm, here are the pictures. http://www.whempys.com/album_cat.php?cat_id=91 the only thing i dont have is the videos, and im gonna try to get those from Brenden/Omega
  9. i just ordered a 9800 pro from newegg with the r360 core, cant wait till it gets here cause i wanna do the 9800xt flash. i found a great bios site with all the different cards from all the different manufacturers and if i find it again ill post the link.
  10. whenever we cancel a tournament, its usually for a good reason. like during this weekend's, we had to cancel 2 tournaments because we lost our internet acess because the warehouse flooded and destroyed our T1 modem.
  11. please try to keep it on topic.
  12. about...oh say....6 or so months ago, alot of the admin team lost interest in running it and moved onto other things, as did the attendees which were of the same age group (college to post college). we are the admin team that replaced them, and we were not left with alot to work with. we sort of had to re-learn how to do everything, organization wise. anyway, we are back on our feet and gaining attendees back, as well as making numerous improvements.
  13. we had a massive drop in attendence, but we are recovering which is one of the reasons why i posted here. we are trying to get the LAN party back to where it was.
  14. more like http://www.whempys.com/album_pic.php?pic_id=112
  15. *coughadministatorherecough* http://www.columbusracing.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=12;t=002106 and we arent nerds we are geeks smile.gif
  16. its usually something that is different from the rest of the food we have there. lots of times we make a giant vat of mac and cheese which tastes awesome cause Dave "Whempy" Reed, who owns the warehouse we have the lan in and also runs Whempys Chimney Sweeps does all the cooking for us and he adds something special. Usually its like a different type of cheese or something like that. We try to keep our menu fresh. Edit: and lan lords was gay because of the immature kids that hung out there and ruined any possiblity of having fun. the staff was nice, it was just their customers that were stupid. on top of that, we were around way before lan lords. as a matter of fact, we helped them with their first advertising campaign by handing out their fliers at our lans. side note: WE ARE NOT A LAN SHOP, so dont show up in the middle of the day randomly one week unless you are going have chimney service done at your house.
  17. you can, not sure if you will find someone to play it with though
  18. the next one is this weekend. we definately play 1.6, but not as a tournament.
  19. if you guys dont know about us already, we were among the first large lan parties in columbus. it started out as a group of friends so long ago and has grown and grown. although recently we have seen an attendence slowdown, we are still going strong. this weekend is another of our monthly lan parties. we play all the latest games and we have tournaments also (im gonna post it below, but its on our site also). we have free food but you have to buy your own pop out of the machine (its not expensive). the administrators dont get paid for doing this, all the admission money goes back into improving our equipment and prizes. We are conveniently located in Columbus, OH @ 6969 Worthington Galena Road Lot P. Only $15 for 24 hours of intense multiplayer gaming. Price includes admission, raffle ticket for prizes, tons of fun, and all the food you can eat including the 'Whempys Special'! Tourneys for this month: 4:00PM Warcraft III: DOTA 6:00PM Call of Duty-(not expansion) 8:00PM Xbox- Halo 2 10:00PM Unreal Tournament 2004:CTF 12:00AM Battlefield 2 2:00AM Counter-Strike: Source http://www.whempys.com/album_pic.php?pic_id=382
