    Yeah that was me. Send me a quick sketch or google "grandpas garage signs" or similar and send me an idea. I might be able to knock something out. I'll handle the car sketch and fit it in somewhere.

    I'll just post it in here also... I was thinking something like this and say "Grandpa Larry's Garage"

    I remember a few years ago, someone posted that they got a plasma table and was making some metal signs... I was hoping to get in touch with whoever it was that did that. I know it's kind of short notice but I was hoping to have a custom sign made that said Grandpa's garage or something like that with maybe a Chavelle on it somehow or just an old car... he restores Chavelles and I think it would be something cool for him. Whoever it was, or if you know who it was please get in touch with me.

    But yeah idk. Is selling your truck and buying a better MPG truck a possibility? Thinking like an older ranger/etc. Had a 2.3 5spd Mazda/Ranger that got around 30mpg thing was amazing.

    I only keep the truck in the first place is because I tow stuff... until recently it maybe drove 2k miles a year.

    More of a regular bike type deal that has pedal assist if you want to ?

     

    What do you have if you don't mind me asking ?

     

    On a side note few yrs ago I went into a LBS on Indianola and they had just full on electric bikes only,I was just shaking my head like why would I want that,I want to get a workout in they tried to talk me around a little but I wasn't ready to see where it could work.

     

    I was in Amish country last year and some ole boy was pedaling his electric bike but was going 3 times as fast as he should have was slightly weird but cool to see the speed so to knock out 10 miles can see the benefit.

    I have the Macwheel Wrangler 600 electric bike... it's awesome. It's a regular bike with the battery built into the frame and an electric motor on the rear wheel... I can tell it that I want pedal assist, or I can twist the grip and it will just go.

     

    I used to think the same thing about electric bikes until I got one. Here's the thing, I'm old, fat, and out of shape... I can use that and if I need it, I can keep up with others or pass them and not think I'm going to die. You can set your level so if you just need a little bit of help going up a hill or to just go a little faster you can or if you just want to be completely lazy, set it to 0 and twist the throttle. Again with that instant torque, it is a ton of fun.

     

    Here's a quick video on my bike... I did put handlebar extension to get it up a little higher and replace the seat but other than that, mine is completely stock and I love it.

    The truck is an Avalanche... it's already been tuned and I've done what I can... it also has 300k miles on it and it's just tired. It honestly runs great but it's old. I love driving it, I just don't like hearing my wife bitch at me about wasting money because I drove the truck and had to pay over 100 bucks to fill it up. Thus again why I think it's a control thing on her end.

    I have one and an ankle biter wouldn't fit on it for sure. It'll go 20+mph and it has a range at top speed of about 15-20 miles... if you actually want to do some pedaling the range goes up. I just use mine for hills and shit, other than that, I pedal and I will right between 40-60 miles on a weekend.

    So I put an order down on a new Mustang Mach E. Originally we were thinking that it was only going to be a month and a half to take possession of the vehicle but as we all know about the chip shortages, it looks like it will be next year sometime before I actually see the vehicle. With that being said, because I thought it was a short period of time before getting the car, I decided to take advantage of used car pricing and sold my daily driver. Now since it looks like it will be 6+ months, should I go buy a cheap beater somewhere or just continue to share my wife's car as she doesn't work and I'm currently working from home. It has caused a few arguments in our household because we need to go different places but I can see that getting way worse if it will go on for another 6 months. My wife doesn't think that I should go get a beater but I think she likes the control of me having to ask her to use her car. I do have my truck but living in the country and only getting 14mpg, I only drive it if I absolutely have to.
