washed it twice with dawn dish soap, clay bared everything, washed it with car soap, jax wax medium fine polish on the rough areas, and fine polished the entire Jeep. Finished it off with a out of jax wax wet wax. I have since removed the rest of the rubber strips still some residue on the roof but I'll address that later. I washed it again today and it has anther coat of wax drying as I type this.
Since I have the buffer next weekend if its as nice as today I will see if I can clean up the van aka the swirl monster.
Note: my Jeep has no visible rust on it the previous owner had it undercoated when they bought it and I am guessing it lived its life in a garage. Clean ones are out there you just have to look for them. Also they did come in a manual if you ever considered getting one.
