Ive seriously thought about buying one for my girlfriend on her birthday as she reads at least 2 books a week.
-
andy, Next time your in the Gahanna area to do a detail or something let me know, id like to see what you'd charge to fix it or at least make it better. or if your going to cars and coffee Saturday ill have you look at it.
-
oh well since im going to have to get it painted and have to buy a can of paint, i might as well get some other things ill need to have painted. Garage Vary lip for the Speed3 http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k166/Colombia532/Josh%20CWP/IMG_5327.jpg http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k166/Colombia532/Josh%20CWP/IMG_5340.jpg http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k166/Colombia532/Josh%20CWP/IMG_5341.jpg Painted it looks really nice and OEM!

andy i dont think its going to buff out, possibly the smaller scratches. i have a feeling some one cut the corner to close. shitty thing is the car was supposed to have the clear bra on it but since the guy that sold me the bra is a dick and sent me the wrong one i haven't gotten it installed yet. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/mazdaspeed3/IMG_2847.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/mazdaspeed3/IMG_2848.jpg they are really hard to see but you can see the deeper scratches. its down into the plastic itself. i wouldn't mind getting your opinion on getting it fixed with estimate, i know its not your line of work as a detailer but you would be knowledgeable on how much it would show if the scratch is just filled as compared to it being repainted.

So I leave work today and go to chipotle and then get home and look at my car like I always do and I notice some dark marks on my speed 3. i just think they are dirt marks or something so i go grab a rag and try and clean them off but noo its fucking scratches. Some one hit my car at work. the one fucking time i don't park where i normally do it bites me in the ass. the scraches are pretty deep in the bumper and they stick out quite well. how can you be that much of a ass hole to not leave a note saying your sorry or anything? i hope who ever did this never tells me they did it or i will make them take care of it with their face. the car doesn't even have 6k miles on it yet!!!!!! best thing is its a pearl paint which will make it a pain in the ass to match the color and it will stick out like a sore thumb.

well looks like ill be there with new wheels and a lower car
-

Thanks for the warm welcome on the mods, thought i do have some bad news, mike at wheel medic informed me that all the wheels were actually bent but no problem for them to fix it.
-
erik, buy the long block and use the money saved to build your block/head

i love those kinda offers! Good luck with the evo project, it will be nice when its complete!

Truth, By the state law Ohio cannot pull you over with an unmarked car. If a car unmarked gets behind you in the state of Ohio and puts on its lights you DO NOT have to stop for him. all a unmarked car will be able to do is to radio back to HQ and tell them your location and what you were doing.

I have been using Sunoco 94 exclusively since a station opened up less then 5 miles away from my house. If I absolutely need gas and no sunoco is available, shell is the gas of choice

The stock pipes are just rubber which is known to expand under boost. the new silicone ones are not supposed to do that but i only bought them because it was a deal that i couldn't refuse. Keeping them for the winter wheels.
-
Depending on the work needed im sure they can do it. Ive taken quite a few really messed up wheels with chunks missing and they were able to fix it for me.

and lastly, the RX-8 wheels. heres what they look like now and why im having them redone along with straight ended. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/mazdaspeed3/wheels/IMG_2832.jpg yay bend! http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/mazdaspeed3/wheels/IMG_2833.jpg may look decent if it was done correctly. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/mazdaspeed3/wheels/IMG_2834.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/mazdaspeed3/wheels/IMG_2835.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/mazdaspeed3/wheels/IMG_2837.jpg Painter FAIL! http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/mazdaspeed3/wheels/IMG_2838.jpg when the wheels are done and back from powder coating they should be like this, exact color is Satin Silver but with a 10% black tint to it. will give it a nice effect imo. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/mazdaspeed3/wheels/1.jpg

Im having wheel medic do mine, Deffinitly costing me a lot but i know the guys at wheel medic and they continue to take care of me. I have yet to have anything but great things to say about them. yes you do pay more but its well worth it because the job is going to be done right and they will look perfect when they are done.
-
give these people a call: sayre heating and cooling 740 927 3609 they are the once that take care of us and its a family owned business and the guy that always comes over is really cool. he is a huge car nut also.

Tim that looks great! I think im going to end up doing a Satin Silver/black combo like whats on the 350z, i think it will look good and pop out just enough to really set them off.
-
haha well ill have to get you a picture of how they look and im sure you will retract that statement!

Well, On Driftindy a set of rx-8 wheels came up for sale and was a decent deal so i snatched up on them. The owner of the wheels said they were in good shape, less than 2 inches of curbage on all 4 combined. told me the middle of the wheels were power coated gun metal, they were and he also told me they were straight. i felt like i was getting a good deal so i went and picked them up. got them home and started looking at them and wow, these are crap! the powdercoating was done and it seemed like the person was in a rush, they came out wrinkly in some places and on the edge on every wheel where the powder coat stops the original owner painted it with a darker grey to mask the line and the clear coat is chipping away. sadly to my dismay, one of the wheels has a good bend in it. Im taking the wheels to wheel medic to see if they can be repaired and to get repainted but i was wondering, what color should i go? I dont want to go black, if i wanted black id spray bomb them. im thinking a satin silver like whats on the 35th AE 350Z wheels, Bronze, or a light gun metal. what do you guys think? they are going on a white car. heres some photoshops some one else did trying to figure out the same thing Satin http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x287/llwdesigns/Photoshops/RX8_Satin.jpg Light Gunmetal http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x287/llwdesigns/Photoshops/RX8_LightGunmetal.jpg Dark Gunmetal http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x287/llwdesigns/Photoshops/RX8_DarkGunmetal.jpg Bronze http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x287/llwdesigns/Photoshops/RX8_Bronze.jpg Black http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x287/llwdesigns/Photoshops/RX8_Black.jpg

yea it was your car, I was driving it. Speed 3 was in the garage with the trailer blocking it in, SC300 looks like it has a bent tie rod possibly. I had to take jrod home and it was available haha.
