i would suspect a vacuum leak as far as the high idle. you can take some carb/choke cleaner or brake clean and spray it around the engine bay looking for leaks. lemme know and I might be able to give you a hand on my day off.

headers, intake and catback will make a mazda6 go low low 14's. stock people have hit 14.9 with the 5speed.
