  1. i saw it too. that guy was pretty startled when the cop drew his gun. lol
  2. can i ask what you paid for it? g/f has a base 3i and its decent...ive been thinking of getting a MS3 if the price was right.
  3. i remember seeing an episode of CSI: miami about swatting. lol
  4. plus, if she wants to move up, she'll probably do so faster by blowing the boss, not tattling to him...at least if i was running the office, that is :D see sig quote below. i like my sense of humor.."why couldnt hellen keller drive?"
  5. havent clicked the link yet, but i have hydrashocks and winchester SXTs. i think i put the hydrashocks in my keltec to come to florida because they're 124gr, and i heard that some people had issues with the keltec and 147gr rounds i got in the deal.
  6. lol. it would definitely be interesting to see someone trying to conceal a rifle. see someone walking down the street like they have a stiff straight leg. hahah
  7. no, i know it happens quite often, but of the times it does happen, ill take a stab and say that over 98% are from non CHL holders, and just thugs/idiots that have a gun.
  8. different strokes for different folks. i like knowing that i have anywhere from 8-13 rounds, depending on what im carrying.
  9. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/DSC02781.jpg?t=1217218464 why i love this gun for pocket carry. i think its like .825" wide
  10. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/IMG_0832.jpg?t=1217218381 upper left M&P, upper right SA XD s/c, lower keltec pf-9
  11. im about 900 miles away until saturday give me a sec, i know ive got a few pics of mine
  12. almost had that kind of situation this year, but the kid was trying to say something similar to my sister. told him to watch what the hell he was saying, he looked at me, and kept walking. and yes, i was CC while downtown that night. its funny though, because, my g/f isn't thrilled with the idea, (but shes not to the point where i have to hear about it daily), but theres been a couple times since i got my license that we've been that she's said "you know, this is one of the times im GLAD you're carrying tonight". you can imagine how fast my jaw hit the ground
  13. i guess that would work, but personally, i like to be concealed as possible. last couple months (with it being considerably warmer), ive been carrying a keltec pf-9 in a pocket holster in my strong side front pocket. i also have an M&P 9c that i love to death...its a great gun, and small, but no where near as small (width wise is where it bulks up) as the keltec. carrying it on my right rear hip with the holster with a polo t-shirt shows a bit more than i like. now when fall/winter roll back around and i have larger clothes and a jacket on, ill go back to carrying the M&P daily, as it will be easier to conceal
  14. i guess you're in some world im not familiar with. i think the percentage of the populus that would attack someone in a mcdonalds for spilling a drink on them is quite low.
  15. if you're in a position where you think you can defuse it by letting someone know you're carrying, without showing, it can stop it from happening i read a thread on one of the gun forums im on about a guy pumping gas somewhere, only one at the station at the time...not a great neighborhood, kinda late...guy coming at him, good distance away asking him for change or a couple bucks...i dont remember the amount. guy told him he didnt have it, and stepped on the other side of the fuel line (to have something between him and the guy)...the guy still keeps coming toward him, so he simply pulled his shirt back a bit, put his hand on his gun to let the guy know he was armed, and the guy turned around, shouted "fucking asshole!" to him, or something along those lines, and went on his way
  16. well, if i spilled my pop on him (because i wasnt looking or he was in my way, either way...), calls me an asshole and shoves me, for a fistfight to ensue, i guess it would mean i would attack him for shoving me...correct? i mean if he shoves me, he's probably not going to be coming after me for a follow up. in that case, if i came back at him, i *could* be considered the agressor because i had an option to walk away. IF i was found to be the agressor, i can not pull my gun, legally now, if i spilled my pop, he shoved me, and was crazy enough to pull out a pocket knife and say he was going to kill me and started coming at me (extreme end of the spectrum, i know), at that point my gun would be drawn letting him know to rethink his decision. if he still came at me to the point where i felt there was no stopping it, he would get shot.
  17. yeah...i think we qualified for our CCW from 7 yards with full size silhouettes. no point of needing to shoot someone over 7-10 yards. at that point, they'll either be a) leaving/running away or b) in a position i may not feel endangered (unless they have a gun drawn on me already)
  18. i understand what you're saying, but thats kinda shitty to group everyone together as that. many many people who carry im sure think the same way if i shoot someone, im probably going to be taken to the police station for questioning, at the minimum, im going to have to go through quite a legal proceeding, and 99% of the time, get sued by the person who got shot (if he's alive still) or his family if he died, then have to live with it forever or, i can give him my wallet, call my credit card companies, credit buereaus, DMV, cancel everything, and continue with my life. i don't carry wanting to blast the first person who looks at me wrong. i carry so if im in the position where the SHTF, i may have a chance to dodge said shit. it goes back to the saying "its better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it"
  19. right. i can understand not carrying in bars, or while you yourself are consuming ANY, but to say i cannot carry while running in to grab a bol...its a hassle to disarm in the car and then rearm when i get back in
  20. yep. in ohio, ANY place alcohol is being consumed is a no carry/criminal protection zone
  21. you dont carry a gun to stop a robbery. you carry it incase you feel you're life is in jeopardy. if someone came into where i was eating and robbed the table next to me or even my own, oh well. if shots started flying, THEN i would feel threatened and attempt to protect myself and anyone else there. IMO, i would much rather make calls and take time to replace the contents of my wallet than go through all the crap associated with shooting or killing someone, and to have that on my mind forever...if it would b justified, it wouldnt sit as heavy on my shoulders
  22. and im in FL now...which should i use first?
  23. QFT. and yes, the point was to point out to others that its much easier than they may think. i almost didnt bring it with me because i didnt want to deal with the hassle, but there was 0.
