i personally love a small propane torch and enough clothing to keep my body covered

how far were you off the trail? when we were down there a few months ago, i went off by like 15-20 feet to set a camera/tripod on a fallen tree. good to know though
-
whats wierd, is i was just thinking the same thing a week or two ago. dont know why, but i was like "hmm...i havent seen powers on in a while"
-
i dont have a problem doing it myself, i actually have one of those vaccum looking steam carpet cleaners, does a decent job, but wont get the jones soda out. i know someone else here had the same stain and said some company got it out for him
-
la bamba for the late night win!
-
+1. id be interested if you can get out a small patch of red jones soda and some other light dirt. nothing major

if im defending my own property, its not going to get me "put away for a long time". remember, the guy broke into the shop his buddy owns. im not talking about shooting the fucker dead, but believe he would get a couple rounds in his leg so he wont be going anywhere quick.
-
i agree with above. if i had shit being stolen from me, there wouldnt be paintballs, then "the real deal" it would be shoot first, talk later

i made the mistake a few weeks ago of telling my g/f i would buy her a purse for her b-day. last time i saw her buy a D&B purse, it was like 155, and the wallet was like 60. my goal was to stay around 250ish... well, she didnt find a D&B purse she liked, but the one she did find was 170ish. i, thinking to myself, ok, im sure we can find a close matching wallet for 80$...well, she finds the D&B wallet she wants, we go to check out, that fucking thing was another 165$ so i ended the day 330$ less than i started with. im still waiting for a couple more checks to pay off my CC maybe with the OT im putting in at my new job, ill have some extra cash to spend on myself
-
got out today, put 100 rounds thru it. my aim at 30 feet sucks. definitely room for improvement. was fun to shoot, even though it wasnt much. ill probably go back out next weekend w/ the g/f and teach her to shoot
-
thats actually what i picked up at vances...they had them on sale for 7.99/box. ill probably pick up 2-4 more boxes friday when i get paid and hit up some range to shoot some targets to get a feel for the gun and see what its doing
-
im on the east side of columbus, but marengo wouldnt be a horrible drive. i actually hunted on some private property up there a few years back. guy named tim hass. he has a nice 2-3 acre pond we duck hunted on ill definitely get back to you. i dont know when you have free time, so shoot me a PM. im usually off work after 5 wed-fri and the weekends i only have to work saturday morning. i do know next friday my g/f is hosting some mary kay party i wont be attending, so maybe if you got some free time, ill grab some more rounds and some targets

dane cook right now.

the guy at vances was wanting to know if i wanted any hollow points for home defense. i told him that wasnt my main purpose for the gun, but if it did come down to that, i would rather seriously injure someone and let them suffer for a bit then rot in jail then have them die and a) have that on my head the rest of my life and b) give them the easy way out but really though, i dont expect to ever have to use it for anything like that. i actually enjoyed the story the one guy posted about a month ago thinking someone broke in and all it was was the light fixture falling down. lol

i did check out a slightly used taurus PT24/7 i believe was the model. i REALLY liked how the grip curved and seemed to fit my hand better, but the sigma was A LOT lighter. i might check out that taurus later on down the road

i was talking to another customer at vances who said he owns one, and does some competition shooting. he said he has not once has an issue with a misfire, stove piping, etc, and the guys he shoots against with the higher end guns have it happen as for me, its just something to learn with. if something happens 1 out of 500-1000 times, i wouldnt really consider that a problem. i didnt get it for anything serious where it has to perform perfectly every time or its considered junk. its something to learn to shoot with, shoot some paper cards, and keep for home protection now if i can just figure out HTF to sign up for the S&W forums since they do not allow a hotmail address to sign up. f- that. yeah. 299.99 + tax + box of 50 rounds. not bad by any means.

hang onto them. ill see if i can get out that way soon. im out east so its a little bit of a drive, but not far enough to pass up a deal like that

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/DSC01507.jpg?t=1187739250 http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/DSC01508.jpg?t=1187739250 Smith & Wesson Sigma, 9mm. coulda got a .40 cal but i thought this would be a better gun to start with, as im a n00bie w/ handguns. also got 2 extra magazines (3 total), which hold 15 rounds each. lifetime warranty, if i have to ship it in, S&W will pay shipping both ways from what the guy at the place was telling me. i came out of pocket, 28$ with a box of 50 rounds. i had a couple shotguns i tried to sell to vances, and they wanted to give me 210$ for both. i took them to my g/fs grandpa, who is the gunsmith for the shop, he made a couple calls and got $300 for both, which is what i wanted. her grandpa also has the largest collection of lugers of anyone in the country. he was saying the one safe he has over $1,000,000 of old army lugers. i feel lucky to have seen/held a few of them. i can't wait to get out this weekend and put some rounds thru it.

july 4 2006 i was driving thru westerville, down sunbury road, for some reason i was doing 43 (45 zone). i got pulled over for nothing but my tint, which when he measured it, was at 18%. i almost wanted to fuck with him when he asked "do you know why i pulled you over" and say "if i guess right, can i get a warning?" i guess there was a shitload of other stuff he coulda busted me for if he really wanted to be a dick. tinted tails, no 2nd cat, and a few other things

my g/f and i both have 4mb ipods. i bought hers new at x-mas time, and mine a couple months after we just had to take hers in for some odd turning on whenever it wanted to, and the hold key broke, but they gave me a new one right there with no questions asked (he didnt even try to mess with it to see if i was telling the truth. hm). not a single problem with mine and i use it daily. i love it. 200$ wasnt bad either. ive got 300 songs on it now and its not even 1/4 full

well, he must do "really good" at putting it to the spec the computer tells him to. duh! -
well, being that those look like farm geese, i doubt he's eating them. if he is, i see nothing wrong with that. as for the final 30 seconds, you gotta do what you gotta do. personally, ive just hit a few with the butt of my gun to kill them. that took him a bit more time/energy than i woulda wasted for a minute, i thought it was gonna be a video of you since you just posted about your new gun
-
how much for the S&W straight up? ive been trying to get rid of a couple shot guns if you'd be interested in a trade. depending on what you're looking for that, i may be able to put in a little $ plus my 2 guns the 2 shotguns are a remington 870 express, bought 2 years ago, fired 2 rounds of trap thru it (50 shells), and sat in the closet since. has modified choke and can add a full if wanted. still has the key for the built in trigger lock and choke tube wrench, along with the box i bought it in... paid 325 2 years ago, its still in excellent condition the other is a youth model new england firearms 20 guage single shot, bought it a few years ago for 125$, it too is in excellent condition. i dont think it was fired more than 5 times before my brother lost intrest in hunting and had a major growth spurt
-
vances can suck my nuts. i went up there last weekend to see about trading a couple guns in on a new handgun...both guns are in 98% perfect condition, one i bought for 325ish 1.5-2 years ago and the other was 125 3-4 years ago, and they wanted to offer me 210 for both of them. this is on top of the fact that my g/f's grandpa is the gunsmith for vances. right now he's got the guns and he said he's gonna call a few people and see what he's able to get for them
