  1. I'm not sure I fully believe that. His dad's funeral is Friday and tomorrow is Thanksgiving. While I don't doubt he will be the next coach, I'm not sure much is going to happen with it until at least Sunday.
  2. Meyer says "not true" http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/7272658/urban-meyer-denies-report-new-ohio-state-buckeyes-coach
  3. I'm not so sure about that. The job was even listed internally between when Fickell was named interim and given a contract as the HC.
  4. How they hell did they get a video of Gabe?
  5. Supposedly yours is out of code though. Like said above, depends on where they are. Could range from having to get it inspected, fixing anything out of code, and paying a fine, to paying a fine and having to tear it down.
  6. I think Hyde was a victim of his own nerves the first few games. The first 2 games he would just get the ball and basically http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_bJhdkF31-XA/Sr8RT8NzdEI/AAAAAAAAABQ/t-XEuSh4he0/S1600-R/THIS+IS+SPARTA.jpg straight ahead You can tell the more reps he gets, the better he is able to use his own abilities.
  7. Hyde has good vision, I just don't think he has harnessed everything yet. For as quick and agile as Hall is supposed to be, he has absolutely no vision nor cutback ability. I am not sure what you are countering? I never said anything otherwise. I've actually said the same thing, just without all the stats. Boom gets plenty of respect now. He just came in and followed one of the better RB's that OSU has ever had in Beanie and had a terrible season. He stepped it up last year and earned himself respect.
  8. Saine Iowa- 11 for 103 and 2 TDs 3 receptions for 15 yards Michigan- 12 for 84 and 1 TD
  9. He got timid because he started to dance around rather than hit the hole. I think Saine closed out 2009 very strong. Hell I remember ppl calling for more Hall real early in that season because Saine and Boom were doing so poor
  10. I am not sure I can take much you say seriously after saying you don't remember that. Saine had 139 yards more than Boom and 1.2 YPC more that season. Boom was terrible. Horribly timid much of the time and went down with hardly any contact. There were actually major debates over who should get more carries going into 2010. Obviously he figured it out, but you can't just discredit the past. Oh yeah, and Boom had the 2nd most carries on the team (behind Pryor) and even then only 9 less carries over the course of the season. Like I said, he just wasn't very good at all his soph year
  11. He ran much better his frosh year than his soph year. Saine actually looked better than boom the end of his soph year
  12. Boom was horrible the first year he split time with Saine. Then he was a solid back the following year and Saine was horrible but yet they still split time. Yes he sat behind Beanie
  13. They both started on a top 25 program after transferring.
  14. ridiculous* I said they were different types of backs, but yes, he is on the same level as Boom when it comes to their different styles.
  15. You just don't see schools change systems and philosophies as drastically as UM did all that often. When you do they usually aren't very high profile schools. Oh, let's not forget Kerr and Schlagel transferring into OSU.
  16. Hyde has the best YPC on the team. He's a different back than Boom but just as good IMO. Definitely better than Hall for that type of system.
  17. Just because I said he is the kind of guy who WANTS 30 carries a game, doesn't mean he will fully get that anywhere. Any of the teams I listed would probably be happy to have him, minus Alabama who probably don't care (although they took Duron Carter if he ever qualifies)
  18. OSU also hasn't had a major change in coaching philosphy......ever really. That's when you see transfers who go on to have sucess. Guys leaving cause they are pissed about playing time never really amount to anything.
  19. uhhh. If he doesn't use his redshirt during the year he has to sit out, he only has 1 year of eligibility left. A transfer year has to burn eligibility, either through redshirt or a year of eligible. If he transferred now and did not take a redshirt during that year, he would only have 1 year left to play (RS year you don't play) so he wouldn't take a carry until 2013 and then have to enter the 2013 draft. If he takes the redshirt during his transfer year, he has 2 years to play, 2013 and 2014. I thought he was born in 91-92 like all the other 2009 guys, he is older and was born in 1990. You are still wrong about how the redshirt and transfer works though. He would only be 24 when drafted (birthday, sept 20 1990, draft would be april 2015, 24 years and 8 months) A solid back is going to get around 25 carries per game.
  20. Your math sucks. He would be 23. He can redshirt his transfer year. 2 backs over 100 carries, and the back who has 160 carries only averages 4.1 ypc. They have 4 backs they use, average a total of 32 carries per game. The average YPC for those 4 is 4.5 ypc, which is why they are using 4 This is where the debate that they AREN'T a traditional team gets funny. Tenn mainly uses 2 backs, total of 246 carries for a whopping 3.75 ypc. Like I said, they try to run, but suck. those teams all want to run the ball, and Hyde is a better back than all of those backs. 5.2 YPC with a 63 long.
