Because it is a $650 AR-15. You get what you pay for with DPMS, they have everything from a cheapo $650 AR-15 that is bare bones to top of the line. I just like the stupid "chart" that they use on barfcom that compares a $650 DPMS to a bunch of $1200 rifles

Someone had a fireworks show just north of me that I could see. But with that going on and all the guns going off, I thought I somehow woke up in a war zone.

I did the Hyatt downtown VIP the last few years, it was pretty good. It may be too late to get tickets though. Just make sure if you go you pay the extra for the VIP, the biggest advantage is the fact that you get to go into the much much less crowded VIP room.
