I lucked out and found a 1.7KB for $3200 with maf/fuel system. Sees almost 11lbs with the big tube and it put down 425/410. Car feels great, no lag, and it drives civilized if i choose to drive easy. Modularfords/Corral/Stangnet all have classifieds with power adders for sale. I think I lucked out with what I got and would probably have gone procharger P1SC or vortech s-trim had I waited a couple more weeks for moneys sake. I raced the green 99KOBRA with a NOVI 2000 a couple weeks ago and was right next to him at 120.

Sold $3,000

Same deal that i posted on columbusdsm.com. I was "gauging interest" in the begining to see what my options were, I didnt want to fool with the car at first, and I got alot of relplys for $1500. I weighed my options and decided to fix the car, and clean it and align/balance/rotate the tires and a few other general maintenance things. Either way the car is worth over $4,000 and im trying to get what i can out of it ($3,000). Maybe I should have never posted the car for $1500 but I was feeling lazy and didnt want to mess with it at first. If someone makes me a reasonable offer I will sell the car. The car is clean, runs well, gets good gas milage and somewhat sporty. I dont think $3,000 is unreasonable at all.

I did put the water pump/ timing belt on it today, and it runs great.

 

A few things I forgot to mention.

 

-Has 8 disc cd player, very clean interior, minimal small dings (maybe 3 total), I put a oversized drain plug in and it worked well...no leaks from pan, I noticed a rattle from the exhaust-Im going to take the heat shields off tmw.

 

I want to get $3500 firm out of the car. Will go on Autotrader for $4k next week.

Ive had a few PMs, I will know monday or tuesday if im going to fix it or sell it this week.

Forgot to mention, Im interested in trades for complete or near-complete P1sc, vortech s or sq trim, or KB 1.7 superchargers for 01 2v mustang.

I have a 1999 VW jetta Black with black interior. NEEDS water pump/timing belt (water pump is coming apart, leaks bad). Body is in great shape, interior is spotless. Motor has "normal" VW oil leaks from rear of head, and I need to put a oversized drain plug in it. Car starts and runs now, but makes a racket from the water pump and pours out coolant.

 

I would like to get $1,500 out of it without touching it to fix it, or $3,500 in a few weeks (kbb with 160k is $4100) when im done fixing it...or I might keep it. PM or email smokineagle@yahoo.com if interested.
