  1. Turns out the compressor is bad. Two quotes so far, $800 & $1100. For a car that only has a trade-in value of $1500, it doesn't makes sense to me to get it fixed, but the wife wants to hold onto this car for as long as possible. I have no desire to pay $1100 or even $800 to get the compressor swapped out.
  2. Sold our place in Johnstown and closing on the new house in Delaware in a little under two weeks. One of the first things the new place needs, is new garage doors. I've made a few calls to the one garage door guy whom to which I was referred, but have not received a call back at this point. If anyone has a good, reliable contact or company they've personally used or know someone who's used them, let me know. New doors is the first thing I've got to get done in order to move stuff into the garage. Thanks in advance!
  3. My wife's '06 Element needs to have the A/C charged. Anyone on here that might be able to take that on for me?
  4. 3 years ago. Basically because of what we're discussing here and that there's nothing to do in Johnstown. Hindsight.
  5. I'm on a few. Didn't know about that one. Hate to join just to post something for sale.
  6. Price lowered. I'll even throw in free LMC Truck & Classic Industries catalogs, so you can order everything needed!
  7. The process is on going. Her buyers accepted my offer, but before she sent the confirmation to us, she went back to my competition once more to see if they'd go up. Then I didn't get to counter. Told my agent the acknowledgement email was en route but it never showed up.
  8. Lost out on a house with an 8 car garage because the selling agent is an unethical bitch. Just lost out on another gem because I was outbid. My initial offer was $10k over asking with an escalation clause up to $17.5k OVER asking and was outbid. These people have more money than sense. I will say that the selling part was very good to us.
  9. Bought this truck last year with the intention of doing a build, but I just haven't had the time to get to it. And now with the selling of our place, I really don't feel like moving it to the new house (wherever that ends up being). These things are becoming quite popular and with all the parts available for them, this could be a really nice project for not a lot of money. I drove this from Westerville to my house in Johnstown and that's it. So I don't have much seat time with the truck. I will say that reverse is out and the y-pipe is cracked, so it's kinda loud. I put a new battery in in, but it's been sitting, so it'll need a jump and I'm pretty sure the alternator is bad because it won't charge the battery. Whomever had this truck tried to do some sort of plasti-dip on the entire body, so that's kind of strange (see pics). The frame is solid other than the rear bumper mounts which can be found at Classic Industries or LMC Truck. And there is a bit of rot on the core support, but again, you can purchase a new bolt-in replacement for fairly cheap. Hell, there's tons of parts for these trucks through either of those vendors. This would have been a great LS swap candidate with being an '87 and 2wd, but at this point, I have too many big plans for the 442 to really devote much time, energy or money to the truck. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/Truck/IMG_5831_zps2kxdvey1.jpg The Bad: No reverse, charging issues, driver's side rocker is rusting out. The Not-So-Bad: Rust in a few other areas on the body. Tailgate support on passenger side broken. The Good: Use your imagination Specs: 1987 Fuel Injected (first year) 4.3L V6 Custom Deluxe A/C Factory Tachometer 2WD TH400 transmission (no reverse) 8' Bed I'd like to get $1000, but am open to offers. We close on 6/30, so I'd like to get it out of here before then. I have the title, but I never got it put in my name, so I'm not sure what I need to do there. Slideshow

  14. I will jump on the St John's bandwagon as well and recommend Trunk Bay as a must-see. This beach was like nothing I've ever experienced before, whether it be Mexico, Jamaica, Carolinas, Gulf Coast of FL, etc. http://stjohn-beachguide.com/trunk-bay/ Just do a google image search for it and you'll see what I mean.
  15. And you'll end up with a $250 kayak that doesn't track for shit and you'll want to upgrade within a year. Your money will go much further buying a gently used version. I paid $600 for my $1100 Perception Carolina 14 and I spent $300 for my $800 Wilderness Systems 135 Ride (both used and both high quality boats). Not to mention I got a bunch of accessories with both boats, paddles, life vests, dry bags, etc.
  16. My brother & sister-in-law are agents in GC. If you would like their contact info to ask them any questions, let me know.
