Check out thrifty. We just rented a Cherokee last week with unlimited miles it came out to $424. Between 4 people, it was quite affordable. If you dad rents it, you can be added as an extra driver, but that is like $5-10 a day (per extra driver). Fuel for the Jeep was $500 total = $125 per person. So it was still cheaper than flying.

Depends on what you would like to see and what sort of activities you'd like to check out. If you'd rather be in a larger city, check out Portland which is along the coast. If you'd prefer a smaller town area, there are quite a few along the coastline along Route 1. Give me an idea of what types of things you'd like to get into/see and I'll try to provide as much info as I can.

August-September is the peak season. October will be getting into the colder months, but the prices will be more affordable.

Great looking cottage and the rates are really good as well. We'd look at other places if we didn't get ours for free each year. My g/f's best friend's family owns the one we visit.

We were there from 6/8-6/13 (drove the whole way). HELL YES popovers! Their ice cream was the shit. I have quite a lot of video as well that I still need to upload and host. Congrats again on the new bride! Talk about perfect weather huh?

Good thing they don't give TOO much away in previews.
