  1. My V in winter storage http://indyhpmedia.com/ihpmedia/pics/BlackBoosted2/Slide2.jpg
  2. V on Blizzaks = win This was last night ... our own Indy version of acting stupid in the snow. We had jeeps blasting through snow piles, tug of war contest with truck/jeep, plenty of AWD donuts and RWD donuts via various cars. Good times, I love acting 16 all over again. http://www.indyhpmedia.com/ihpmedia/pics/BlackBoosted2/IMAG0113.jpg http://www.indyhpmedia.com/ihpmedia/pics/BlackBoosted2/IMAG0112.jpg
  3. Powell works, I am willing to find something from anywhere around Dublin to Polaris area ...and in between. Your deal sounds like a good one I arrive in town tomorrow and plan on looking through the Dispatch to see about private small homes/condos for rent. I would consider a roomate, but I don't know anyone in the area other than family.
  4. I grew up and graduated high school in Dublin. I know the area well...I just don't know anything about specific complexes. I still have family in the area
  5. Anyone have experiences on apartments in the Dublin through Polaris side of town? I am looking for something with a garage (doesn't have to be attached), and a nice quality place. What are you thoughts and opinions? I don't want to move into something trashy, and I don't want to pay $1000mo for a 500sq/ft place either. Please offer up some ideas! I will be a noob once again to Columbus in a few weeks!
  6. The unidentified one is probably the reverse sensor that triggors the reverse lights (not the lockout) you can get them for like $10 from AutoZone, I replaced one of mine last year. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/catalog/parts/partsShelf.jsp?displayName=Back+Up+Light+Switch&currentPage=1&categoryDisplayName=Electrical+%26+Lighting&navValue=15700610&itemId=610-0&parentId=57-0
  7. I beleive it, my C5 has got 32-33mpg at 65-70mph numerous times, 80mph cruise it will get about 26-28. That is calculating it per gallons used/miles driven. Not just using the cars computer...although they are really close. Mine makes about 400whp too. It's all in the tune. My CTS only does about 24highway. I calculate every tank because I am a nerd like that.
  8. It's not that bad. Speed limit is now a posted 70mph for most of the state, you can drive 80 past an officer and not get pulled over. 85 is pushing it ; ) Oh, and go OSU!!
  9. x2 for the shifters being junk. I have yet to replace mine I have a custom Magnaflow setup on mine. Stock cats, dual Magnaflow bullit style mufflers under the car. It actually sounds fantastic, and isn't too loud. It gets comments all the time. Mine ran 13.4@107 with a 2.4 60' and easy shifting. Not bad for a 3900lb tank, a better launch and agressive shifting I'm sure it would do 13.1@109 or so
  10. I didn't say the V handles better than the C5...thats just not true. The V is just more driver friendly to me. It's "easier" lol The Vette would leave it for dead on a track, a small track would simply require someone better than me haha. I took both my old 3 series and C5 to the BMW club autoX last year; drove both cars same day, and was faster in the 3 series. Granted, it was a really tight slow speed track ... I have not been to any AutoX's in Columbus, only Indy.
  11. I've autocrossed both too. I don't have a Z06, but my C5 has firmer bilsteins added and the rest is stock. I just think the V feels more controlable ...especially in a power slide or something. But then again, my Vette is around 400whp and a lot more powerfull and I suck at driving in that situation lol. It easily overwhelms the tires. I have never done any open tracking events only autocross. When I can hit the brakes at 140mph and it just stops with no drama, thats impressive to me. Not that my vette doesn't do the same. High speed stability is great...I know my vette is more solid though. It weighs 800lbs less. I've had the Vette to 180, and the V to 150 I actually ran the V at a local BMW club autocross last month and finished 5th out of 42 cars (beat M5's, M3's, M coupes, Mini's). The only cars ahead of me were setup for AutoX; suspension work, Rcomps, etc. Most of those other people have little autocross experience though. I've had a Mini and BMW in the past, so this year having no BMW they still let me run my "current" car ...the people running the event know me. They weren't expecting a Caddy to run like that
  12. The rear end issues like others said. I took mine to the strip once and took it easy. It's my run around town car, so I really don't abuse the rear end with super sticky tires or drag racing...so I'm sure it will be fine. When you feel it wheel hop, let out 30mpg's is incredible ^ I get about 24-25 highway (driving 80), and about 16/17 around town. Mine could use a tune, as it's got a couple of bolt ons with no tune. Fun factor is huge with the car, it gets more looks and praises than my C5. It's comforatble, all options are standard ..HID's, Nav, 6spd, auto climate, heated seats etc. The only actual option you can get is a moonroof (mine has it, and it's always open). I think it's easier to handle at the limit than my C5 too. It's more predictable. I love it and will only reaplace it with a gen2 in the future. Oh, and the brakes are just awesome! 14.4" rotors on the REAR lol It's nice that is uses the LS2 or LS6 (LS6 in mine) so modding it is super easy
  13. Bunch of my Indy buddies in there, I will post that link on our local forum thanks!
  14. My father has an 05' FX35, it's actually nice to drive. I agree on the somewhat cheap interior...but it's not that bad at all. It has a backup camera on the NAV screen, radar cruise control (which is cool as hell on long trips), and gets reasonable HWY milage for an AWD SUV. I love driving it, i've borrowed it for a few trips when I need to haul stuff...did I mention the FX has a cool exhaust note? Like a 350z of course On the flip side my step father has a 05' RX330 Lexus, while it has a nicer interior (passenger seat is not full power...lame), it sucks to drive and it looks like every other soccer mom's around Dublin. He had an RX300 before that, and it was even worse. I'd go with an X5 though, my brother has one, and my father used to have one. It's not for everyone, but I like driving them. They just get crappy gas mileage. It's a toss up on the looks of an X5 to an FX ...I like both. RX is ugly
