I did do it, on I 275 about 7yrs ago in my Z24. Probably the scariest moment in my life. I never said id want to try it again... just saying its not that hard... you just have to do a bunch of guessing really really fast and hope you dont roll out the other way when the ass end lightens up.

Uh... hello... FWD? That really isnt that hard to do. You have to remember that the drive wheels are pulling the front end in any direction you point the tires. A bit of opposite lock and a brief foot full of throttle and your back in the game. The hardest part is to not over correct and roll out in the other direction... which is why right after the foot full of throttle in opposite lock, you give the wheel a whirl slightly in the other direction and lift off to vacuum and the car straitens itself out.

Well Carter was the one in office during the huge gas shortage in 79/80 and is also who killed the muscle car era by passing emissions laws. He was not a very popular man. He too was very much into PREVENTING an energy crisis that no one really saw a plausible. So he got the boot. carter had the right idea, and 30yrs ago, if he'd gone a second term, perhaps things could have been set in motion and we wouldn't be in the shit were in now.

Yea really, it is. Small 4dr sport sedens with 4cyl turbo engines... both priced VERY similar with near identical gadgets... only difference was, in 03, S40's weren't available w/ AWD, but still priced the same... oh and they dont go into the shop for much of anything either.

I think Obama is doing the right thing... two things are really the root of all this mess... Banks, and car companies. The banks obviously gave away money they didnt have, then got jacked, and tightened up so no one could buy shit. The loans they DID give out were practically eaten up buy foreclosures... The car companies caught the "no loans" part and said, "but but but... we need money to survive this time of recession." So they said, BAM, well take this free money, business as usual, and the end. Well, shit got worse, and no one really ran the business like a business... more like a circus, with even worse cars coming out of the fun house rather than puking children. Mean while, foreign motor companies ate that shit up and just spent mad cash to pump out enough cool things to get Americans to buy, which fucked the big 3 even more. So now, the president has stepped in and said basically, "All you mother fuckers just went and fucked shit up, no you best unfuck yourselves real quick or I will rip off your head and shit down your neck... and by that I mean, you're all fired."

 

Whats worse, that everyone pissed and moaned about a having an African American, Muslim president... or that it took one to put foot to ass to clean up this shit that's been brewing since Carter left office?

I just listen. You can hear when a motor is starving for air or fuel. I used to use a lot of tuning forks when I was younger as a singer for school, and tuning guitars...so hearing the reverberations in the tones is easy... once you figure out what each reverberation means, you can trace a dyno run with your finger almost as good as the actual dyno sheet.

Mine shoots at roughly 1000fps... carries accurate at 60-70yrds, and can hit 2x2 ceiling tiles at about 130yrds.

Okay, I just didn't think there was that much of a $ difference to make it worth doing a swap.

 

Well a used 03 RS6 with 66k on the clock in Columbus is up for a hair under $26k... which is $4k MORE than what i bought my car(same class as A4) over 4yrs ago with only 45k on the clock.

 

So doing the 4 or 5k swap is worth it, especially in weight savings considering the RS6 is a heavy weight sedan vs the A4 coupe. I know I tip the scale at 3125... so a nice 4.4L V8 out of an XC90 would be quite fun if I were RWD/AWD.
