So why not just put the auto in the gear you want? Is there somehting in the 4L80E (i think thats the tranny) that doesnt allow that? Makes things way easier for me... i just drop it into 3rd and boom, im right at the rpm i want and the speed i want... then i just shift it when ever.

mild steal flanges seem to warp and crack worse than even 304, and 321 is is much more risiliant to fatiuge and cracking in high heat than 304... at least thats the experience i had with the Z24. i was looking at Burns, as they are the most kick ass exhaust parts manufacturer ever. They are just so pricey though... i though ti might see if anyone had any extra scrap that they wated to get out of the garage.

Closed deck block > Open deck. My Z24 was rebuilt 17 times, on 3 blocks. Not once did any of the interal bits ever poke there way out of the block... obliterated the oil pans, but never the block.

I was slated to make it out both last night and tonight, but as it turns out, my junior managers fucking suck at cutting labor... so not only do i get to work 6 days this week, i also miss all the activities. Maybe next week.
