I think if it does not meet atleast 2 of these then it is not a beater!Originally posted by Buy Here Pay Here:I'm thinking of some ground rules here, gimme your feedback:
A car may not simultaneously compete on both beater comp and select or open comp.
Vehicle must meet at least one of the following requirements:
1. More than ten years old
2. At least one rust spot greater than 1/4 of an inch at in either length or width
3. KBB value of $3000 or less
4. Significant body damage, whether accident, mismatched or missing trim or body parts, or rust.
5. Broken windows
6. Salvage title
Any other ideas?
Anyone got some webspace to keep a list?
I know of a 13 year old honda with 4 of the 6 on the list that runs 11.5 1/4 mile. Is it a beater??

I have raced R/C cars for over 20 years.
I want the Hornet!!!
Car 2 is a Race Prep Pro Radiant released 1989-1991. At the time one of the fastest/best AWD cars ever made. It used oneway bearings in the front so in straight-aways the car was mostly 2wd to save battery life and add speed, but in a corner it went AWD and would pull the car thru a corner.
Car 3 is an old Yokomo (not very good as the front end could not handle bigger jumps)But supper quick on flatter tracks!

Yeah it is kind of funny how most of the Honda boards I get called rice but here where most members drive domestics I don't. Weird huh??Originally posted by Republicant:You have no idea how odd it is for someone not to have called that rice, I'm impressed....
Yeah I have no fear in letting everyone know what I run. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, that is what makes if fun!Originally posted by Mowgli:Amazing what actually posting numbers will do for you, huh?

Hello members,
I'm not sure if it's cool to post a "hello from a noob" post or not but here goes:
My name is Joshua and I have meet some of the members on this board around town and at the track. They suggested i come and take a look see. WOW!! This board is huge, It will take me a few to get a grip on things. I have lived in c-bus all my life but am new to the scene.
My daily driver is a 1997 integra GSR with a custom turbo system.
I only made it out to National Trail twice this year (to run), I had an absolute blast and can't wait til next season! I have always enjoyed watching cars run the 1/4 mile!
Here's a couple pics:

I'll cut this short since I'm a noob, but I hope to meet more of you in the future! smile.gif
