I saw that friday night, long lines, gas was dropping while we waited in line. I watched it go from a 1.79 to 1.70 for 87, it was like the were fighting for the lowest price.

No check engine light or smoke, i think it it just a bunk gauge, it was in there when i bought the car and i prob. swap for a tranny temp. soon thanks for all of your help.

I will have to check, could it be a bad o2 sensor or spark plugs/ wires(46,000miles)

Hello, I just got the trans replaced on my 98 t/a ls1 and it is running really rich. I have a auto meter gauge and it almost is always in the green(rich) rarely and only when the motor is cold will it dip back to the other side. Also it started doing this just before the trans went out. But now it is much worse and i ahev been with out for 8 weeks so dont really know if thewre is any power loss. Thanks in advance

You should play "beer Battleship" it is the concept of beer pong throw ball in to cup but you can set your 3 ships up how ever you want. When yopu sink a ship you get the balls returned. Or you could play "hockey" a four person game with tree periods of drinking.

The tranny is jasper 4l60-e with a 3yr/75k i found others at autozone and advanced for 1300 but only 1yr/15k. Thanks for looking though.

Thank you for all your help. I went and had it tested and 3rd and 4th are gone. They qouted me at 2500 for a rebuilt.That comes with a 3ry/75k warn. Dont know what i am going to do now.

Thank you again. Here is what I have done so far; I have reset the batt. = nothing I have checked the fluid = no discolor and level was fine. I also drove again today and I don’t believe that it even goes into third. It goes zero to sixty no prob as long as it is Wide open throttle. didn’t wait to see what happens when it tries to go into third then, but if you drive it slow it will try to go into third but just rev up and back down to 2nd. And thank you again.

Hey, Did slow motion build that car from the ground up, and how long did that take? also is that the most power they have put up yet? Didn't the red hatch run 10.50's? Nice video!

Thank you for those suggestions. I have checked fluids and I ran it again, and first gear and second seem to be fine but when it tries to go into 3rd it feels like it disengages or slips. Now am still at work so it is hard to check these things, but I will give them a try. Does anybody know what vacuum lines i should check? I don’t see any that have come loose or cracked. The car only has about 45000 miles on it, if that helps.

Would somebody please help me. I drive a 1998 Pontiac Firebird Trans am. I have the 2door coupe automatic transmission with t-tops. I also have the 5.7l V8 with a few modifications. I have the Jet stage 1 chip and the hooker cat-back exhaust system. Also I have smaller springs which put my car about one inch lower. With that said here is my problem, it seems the that the transmission does not want to shift into higher gears. No matter what how fast I am going it is in the lowest gear possible. So, at 50 mph my tach is at 5000 rpms. I have yet to take it in for testing. Here is what I have heard so for " a shift modulator on the tranny might have gone bad" or "could it be the tps sensor telling the computer that I am at wot?" Yes, bottle is rice, gauge is rice the gauge is gone by the way, but buck 40 thats just fun.And i havent gone above 75 since then.Hopefully soon i will need a boost gauge.

The NX was never hooked up, the pre owner was going to run a dry shot untill everybody told him he must run a wet system.As for the badge thats more of a way to get more races.Oh, and it never had a powerdyne, but i am looking at vortech.

When i got the car from Eric it had double wing(gay) and sold it.Put on the stock spoiler. I t also had the ram air and stock hood, ws6 and stock wheels, hooker cat-back,jet stage 1, a KN filter, and dropped like a 1.5",also tinted windows, and racing stripes.I put my alpine head unit in there and I just bought snow tires for the 16's. Looking to by slp lid,maf, bellow next paycheck.

I have the ls1, with full tank, and the spare. I know those dont mean much. NTM I'm 300lbs. But 120lbs Eric ran a 13.71 at 102 I had a .486 reaction time, 2.086 60', 5.872 330, 8.923 1/8 at 81.12, 11.538 1000', 1/4 13.765 at 101.28.

Thank you, and yes i am running the stock wing, looking to run dr's come spring but didnt have time to get them, we went to trails the last day they were open. and there was a ws6 that was running 14 flat. no dr's either.

Here is a formula to get et and trap by weight and horsepower.(weight on door 4277lbs) (lbs from motortrend.com empty 3300) MPH = 234 * (HP / Weight) ^ .3333 ET = 1353 / MPH you will get 13.64 and 12.50

I have yet do anything other than snow tires. I learned about CR from some guys and ladies that I meet at St. Clairsville or somewhere over there airport in the summer of 2002. There were about 30 cars, a strip, and a nice day yet no tree. We started races at the drop of the arms, it was great. So let her rip. But, I will race and I will upgrade and also I will bring many of solid races to the table. Hope to see everybody in the spring.

car-stats.com says a trans am will run 13.9 and by my "fresh takes and ideas" i meant what i post. I have been around CR since the airport before it had the tree back in 2002. No, i am not 4' tall, i am 5'11" Eric is 5' tall maybe. He is my freind, if you want to take this to the yard i will. and yes he does now drive a wrx. Hopefully i will see you soon.
