With Vivint's setup you can add any Z-wave product and their system will recognize it, from that perspective I like it. The problem is if you move they expect you to take your system with you and pay the remaining balance on your contract or have the new owner take over your account. With that being said when I sold my last house I had a field day trying to figure out the least expensive way to get rid of their $50 monthly payment.

Lost Transponder Key!
Big Chief2011647545501 replied to Big Chief2011647545501's topic in Tech and Tips
I ended up finding them in one of my wife's clothes drawers after tearing the house apart in hopes to avoid paying. They were put there by my three year old who didn't want me to go to work, that's how you "lose" keys/fobs... -

I got a locksmith to come out and do it for $135, still sucks but I guess I learned my lesson. -

So I lost the only transponder key I had for my ranger. Is there a way to have someone come out to my house and program a new key or could the dealership cut me a new one (I have a non-transponder spare). Thanks for your help!

So I just went through something similar where we actually wanted to move to Cleveland to be closer to our families. I live pretty close to Hudson now and previously lived in German Village. The job search took me a year to find one suitable and was the most depressing thing ever so I feel your pain. The amount of rejection letters from auto-scanners and crap is the worst. I eventually started cold calling the companies and asking for the head honchos after researching their management folks. It actually panned out and was a great move. I would say Hudson is a nice place to live and raise a family but up here if you aren't in manufacturing or logistics its a tough crowd. Long story short, if its a bump upward take it even if only for a year at least youll have more experience to put on the paper.

radon and dehumidifiers questions
Big Chief2011647545501 replied to Big Chief2011647545501's topic in Dumpster
Our radon test was around 4ish and I really didn't care too much. I'd hate to play the game of telling them to go pound sand for 1-2k since I expect them to come back with some kind of cash grab but we have no code violations in the house that I am aware of. I looked at my inspection from when the house was purchase and made sure I fixed everything except the few non-grounded outlets which I'd be willing to throw in gfci's to get around it. All in all its really up to the inspector some are overzealous and some are lax. -
radon and dehumidifiers questions

I'm in contract. -
I'm having a radon test done at my house. We had it tested about 3yrs ago and it came in at 4ish. I've got my dehumidifier running in normal operation but I was wondering if that was helping or hurting our numbers. Also anyone have any helpful hints on this sort of thing...

Need a general laborer for easy stuff
Big Chief2011647545501 replied to Big Chief2011647545501's topic in Dumpster
Its pretty sad that nowadays you cant find decent labor like this. When I was a kid I used to do all jobs like this for $5-7/hr. Home Depot, Walmart, etc. pay close to $9.50/hr and when you take into account taxes it might be $7/hr bring home. Anyone have any contacts? -
I'm looking for someone to come help me do some general labor around downtown Columbus near German village for 5-6 hours on the weekends. Including but not limited to: -Weeding -helping move trash -scrape a wall -paint -tape trim -move some stuff around -mow -weed whip You get the idea. I'm looking to pay $10/hr let me know if you have any contacts or recommendation! Thanks CR

When buckeye is back at full pool..... J/k Last year I made it out once but we should as soon as the weather breaks and the crappie start spawning. I could really use some fresh fish sammies. -

Hey did you post this on Ohio Riders ;-) -
Don't do it, its a scam I worked with FX global awhile ago and only saw people lose money. Just look at what happened to the swiss franc. You don't want to get caught on the wrong side of that.
