  1. The throttle bodies get a vacuum leak in the throttle blade bushings. This is a very common problem for the Cross-Fire units. Go to a Corvette Forum and they usually have a section on problems and that is the most common vacuum leak for the 82 and 84 Corvette. The bushings if I remember are machined into the units and some companies offered a service to rebuild the units and machine a new shaft to stop the vacuum leak.

  7. Your EECTuner I have been told can do that also. I just have not played with the EECTuner to figure out the commands to turn off sensors.
  8. Rain, Cold and since the Nationals was in Atlanta last month probably not going to be much of a turn out. If you go to the Nopi forum most are not going to attend which makes since, since Ohio in Oct. is a really dumb time to have such a event.
  9. The 944 and 928 are the Bastards of the Porsche world. On the 944 the wiring usually is crap and the 4cyl Turbo engine can't take much in additional power. I have seen people using aftermarket harness for a street rod and installing a small block chevy to solve 90% of the issues and the other problem is things like window felts and gaskets not only very expense but hard to come by using 3rd party parts suppliers. I have done work on 944 and things are basic and replaced a computer for a employee 5 years ago and it cost her $600 plus trade.
  10. Location of her work to take a look at it. Thanks
  11. Brian what was the last upgrade before this started to happen.
  12. Fuel is one issue but the timing backing out is another. A bad ground can cause the timing module to go crazy like a voltage spike. Brian did you run your negative cable back up front because I remember you having problems with your battery when you moved it to the back when we talked at Norwalk a couple years back. Remember the fuel relay has a constant hot and a running hot so the relay will use its ground and run the pump because the other hot dropped voltage to hold it open or closed. Give me a call or email me and I will make time to come over.
  13. Personal Loan and you purchase what you want. Your looking at 13%-14% and you can get it at 36 months. No out of pocket money. Call around for rates and they will even take the information off the phone and will call you with what you qualify for $$$.
  14. I do think that american car manufactures should be allowed to sue individuals that dishonor the name of the manufacture. This one should be used for the opening legal case. lol
  15. The wiring is all mixed up on the 90+ units compared to the 87-89. Since 90+ had Air Bags they changed so nothing will cross and cause problems. Whay change since 89.5+ all have 140mph speedometers?
  16. So this car is not AWD then? My son watched it and figured it was just rear because if the front was hooked the cars usually jump up and down when launched hard.

    fmu issues

What is the Fuel to Boost ratio of the FMU? Usually if you see the increase in fuel pressure and your still lean then your Fuel Pump is not giving enough volumn to feed that pressure.
  18. If you still have it Sat. I will come and pick it up. I just have no time till then.
  19. How much just for the Stereo and the guy above will buy the rest.
  20. Just replace the clutch packs on the unit you have and it will be new and you won't need to redo your shims just keep track of the shims on each side and replace in the same order. This is a simple job after you pull back the axles and remove the rear cover. If you get a new diff you will need to redo the gears and still need to rebuild the unit if used.
  21. With 100's of good car choices in our Great Country why THAT? I don't buy imports by first choice but with that offering I would pick import first.

    LaRUE

OK, That is what I remember. I have a great story about Larue. The last time I was there a '34 Tube Rail with a BBC was going down the track and it was so dark at the end of the track you could not even see the rear running lights and all of a sudden you hear this huge rumble then a splash. Everyone around me yelled...NOT AGAIN... Then people running everyplace. I was just standing shocked at everything going on. I asked whats going on...This lady tells me that on the right is a swamp and the rail rod just jumped the rail and is in the swamp, that is the noise you heard. The guy was ok from what I heard but then I had no way to verify. So is it true that on the right side is a swamp or pond and is it still over on the side of the track.
