  1. What Aj said. It seems like the general consensus is that a SBC motor is easier/cheaper to build and maintain. You even see alot of SBC motors put into kit cars, old rod projects because its just the easiest way to go, and its easy to find parts.
  2. Pawn shops tend to have these fairly cheap.
  3. I would either buy a bike someone has turned into a stunt bike or track bike because they cannot get a title for refusing to paying for it and usually will let go cheap because of the title, or just buy a new motor case for a few hundred from ebay.
  4. Bump, I am also looking for tradesmen who have a commercial license to do work. Thanks
  5. We had the same issue in a past vehicle, the pan drain the condenser(I believe) sat on/in got filled with debris causing mildew around it. Check to see if the drain is clear.
  6. Site sponsor, and members have given him positive reviews. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/member.php?u=3584
  7. I have an 02 bravada and it does the same thing. Your not alone. Its been this way for all the years I have owned it.
  8. I am always game for discussions. Not exactly in the same field as you guys but I have been an employer and will soon be opening a retail store. Every edge up would be helpful. I will sit quietly in the corner or if not, no biggie, my feelings wont be hurt.
  9. Good point, contact sirius as it should be associated to your info and ask if someone else has activated it. If they wont give you info about new account ask if they would at least verify the first name if you gave it to them. Ask the guy to send you a letter stating he never received it and date it. If he turned it on before the date he signed, then contact police to charge the guy with theft or some sort of extortion.
  10. You told the seller you would ship it and you did, did you guarantee its arrival? Did you discuss how he wanted it shipped prior to sending it. If you have shipping receipt than I would say thats all you are on the hook for. You know you shipped it, you have receipt, he can file a claim with usps to obtain his item or refund. I would tell him you will work with him on his claim but thats it. He will leave negative feedback and then you dispute feedback with your version.
  11. They just sold 2 2post lifts at a local auction I was at for $600 each. I visit alot of online auctions and see them around this price as well sometimes. Rarely see a 4 post which is what I keep lloking for. If a 2 post is what your after let me know and I will keep an eye out.
  12. Hit up combs as well, cant complain if you arent willing to at least do something to change it. If people really wanted this to go away, why not collect signatures to get it on a ballot?
  13. We had several of the ford v10 vans and ran the ever loving piss out of them. We exceeded what they were rated for daily and they ran forever.
  14. Rarely will you see a company doing the proper prep work prior to do this sort of thing. Ideally they would need to have a powerwash truck setup with tank to hit the areas first(waiting no more than dry time to actually paint). Then buy correct materials that will last longet than the cheapest stuff walmart has on sale or just basic latex paint. As stated it will look good but wont last. Bare minimum they need to wire brush prior to painting.
  15. I would have to send the guy an email asking if he ever followed the instructions. Sounds like a great deal.
  16. Stay on topic guys, Jp try to post pictures on here if you get a chance for those interested. Thanks
  17. Go in have a can tinted then walk away before its done, come back the next day and it will be discounted in the mistints. I do not condone this activity but have seen it done.
  18. Also odd lots usually has cheap paint, not top quality but if its only temporary.
  19. Almost anywhere that sells paint will have mistints for only a few dollars, sherwin williams, home depot ect. Call ahead and ask or just go to home depot and look at their mistint shelf. Sometimes they only have a few sometimes they have alot. Even walmart has mistints.
