You can take him to small claims court for wearing an ugly shirt. However you will most likely lose because items like this are often considered sold as-is in the courts eyes and you cannot prove that the damage didnt occur after purchase. Unless you can prove that he knowingly sold you a part that was bad. he may be inclined to work with you once he is served but you also risk losing the court fee's if he choses not to, and you still lose in court.

Aj this is true. Pulled 6 codes this time after I replaced the sensor mentioned above. I really havent driven all that much in 2 years. Dont know if this has anything to do with it. Maybe sitting to long. car is an 02 bravada 200k+ mileage. Vortec v6 engine. Driving the other day and I notice a little rough idle when at a stop. I drive it a little agressively thinking maybe rough gas or carbon build-up. I dont notice it while stopping for the next 10mins while I make my way home. I go to drive it today and it feels very underpowered(really on freeway) and appears to be excessively using fuel. Why set on cruise control it appeared to be working harder than I remember in the past. I pull 8 codes ranging from misfire, to high fan(cant remember the rest of this code) and a few codes I believe are associated with cat converters. So I replace the camshaft position sensor and I dont notice the idle issue during test drive(not at freeway speed). I dont know if it took care of it because it comes andd goes. Up until this issue it has always ran fine. I have owned it several years and only have replaced the battery, fan/clutch(cheap ebay), ac compressor(napa) and the front hub/bearings(ebay, I know this will come back to bite me). And done regular maintenance ie. oil changes. My question is 1. I didnt think this sensors failed to often and could this be my issue? 2. Is there anything else I should be checking that could cause similar issues. I know a tune up is probably in order but not sure on this vehicle what all that consists of.

Did you really just bump a regular(non for sale) thread? Maybe because its 3am, but that just seemed odd to me. And these penny auction sites all appear to be a huge racquett for their owners. People fail to realize that you could spend $100's of dollars on an item that essentially sells for $2 at auction. Take several people spending $$$$$ on the same action where an item finally sells for only $ and you have a ginormous profit margin on that item.

There was a documentary on the other night that addressed this very issue. They were following highway officers that stated they hear this very same thing by citizens who claim they are only there to collect money for the dept/state they work for. However when you see the effort these guys(at least the ones in the documentary) put in to actually going after bad guys it really gives you a different perspective on the whole thing. Unfortunately pulling people over for things that seem miniscule to the average person is their only means at attempting to catch actual criminals. They gave one statistic that showed where on average the ratio between those they pulled over for something small leading to an arrest for things such as warrants and resulting offenses was something like 1:3. Thats alot of arrests for other serious crimes when you figure they originally pull you over for a plate issue or speeding.

I think most people would agree that as you get older your views on things change. While younger people tend to feel invincible(at least I did) you wonder why there are so many rules and why seemingly needless laws are enforced. But with age this invicible feeling tends to diminish as your faced with your own mortality. I am comfortable with the laws that are out there and if theres a freeway cop there to enforce them I am all for it. I know alot of guys that go over seas at a young age and now that they are older their opinions have changed and if the tables were turned(they were offered to enlist being older) they wouldnt go. Theres a reason they choose to try and enlist people at such a young age. I agree there are some cops out there that just plain shouldnt be on the force, and I believe there are alot of cops who would agree but you cant lump every good cop who is doing what they feel is right for the people he/she are hired to serve and protect with these bad apples. I like to see these poles and see how people vote and their reasoning behind their choice. I dont think there is a right choice necessarily but I would be interested in seeing how those that view cops in a bad light would vote 15 years from now.
