  1. I have rented every trailer uhaul has and picked them up with my fullsize conversion van and an old 1500 chevy.
  2. Whats the fastest way to obtain a passport? Can anyone help speed up the process?
  3. Any help in the pics here? http://hunting.about.com/od/guns/ss/ak47_fieldstrip.htm
  4. No not money wise. Something will come along and catch my eye and then I will begin. I have just been waiting and waiting and waiting. The itch is getting stronger because I had my mind set that this was going to be the year.
  5. See thats the honesty you dont get from alot of guys. When I was buildin my chevelle the guys I knew were into the import seen. Finding an import at that time that could have posted a challenge was very uncommon at least among the guys out racing. Then the chevelle was totalled by a drunk driver and I havent had anything since. I have wanted something for a few years now. But I want to take what others have learned and improve on that. But I cant find a platform I like to get started with. I planned on getting a vette this year but shit happened. So now I am think camaro or mustang but nothing has caught my eye yet.
  6. Thats badass. I might buy a phone just to get that.
  7. Scott, $26k is more than I would ever pay for a car myself. Do you think it was worth it looking back? Is it as fast as you want or did the mods make it the car you wanted?
  8. Okay so $7900. Is it what you want? Is it as fast as you want? Is it in nice condition? Please dont take this the wrong way, I am really curious how people justify how they put their money into their cars. I havent had a car since the chevelle was totalled but now I am getting to where I want something but cant decide.
  9. How much is in the whole car? Buying it mods body work repairs ????? ?????
  10. More use for the donor car parts or take some of the $7200 and build a really strong rear end. To me it sounds better than buying a used v8 car and a month later you find out the previous owner ragged that sunofabitch. I look at it like all my previous project and cars. If your going to spend the money make it be worth what your paying. And who is going to tell you they beat the shit out of their car every other weekend.
  11. To me that looks like almost everyone else's camaro. You dont see as many with the ground effects rolling around. Too cookie cutter. I was thinking the same thing with a mustang.
  12. At what cost is the question. Say you take a reasonably priced v8 car like alot of guys do($8k). Then you mod it. lets say 2k in mods. So your at $10k Now you take a v6 car($2800), donor car which pays for itself(free). Now how badass of a motor can you build for $7200? Am I the minority in thinking this way?
  13. Same year but with tranny problems. Didnt you just state you see them for $500? Theres almost one fboday a week priced under $1k with problems. That one in PA has been in 2 accidents and has problems. http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/1316551656.html
  14. Doesnt seem any different than what can be found around here for the same price.
  15. I say that car($2800), then I buy a wrecked donor with good front end(v8)(few hundred, sell off parts to pay for itself). Then a motor is built.
  16. I would pay the additional $ to have the ground effects and leather interior. How much to do a v8 swap.
  17. Nope. We were set to trade and then the guy kept asking for more and more. I was literally set to go pick it up and he would say "I think I need more money with the trade". I finally said hell with it. I posted the deal information on a few rodding sites for a $ figure and everyone told me he was asking to much.
  18. Its about looks with me. I would certainly pay a little more for a car that looks good. I dont like all fbodies but every once in awhile I see one I would consider owning. Like the one I posted. Find me one that has the physical appearance as that one and sells for cheap.
  19. Sure you can find some that are cheaper but that one I posted is nice looking. Has a nice interior. If all you wanted was lets say an fbody then you can certainly find one cheap but it might not look as good as the one I listed.
  20. Heres an example this car is nice looking and asking price is $3200, so lets say you deal and get it for $2800. A comparable v8 version would probably go for $6k maybe more. I would think you could build a nice strong motor for $3200. One that would outperform a stock v8. http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/1323132402.html And its the same with other fbodies appearance wise. I see a heck of alot v6 bodies that look better than their v8 counterparts. Why is that?
  21. What would it take to do a v6 - v8 in a camaro and a mustang?
  22. v-8 motors can be had fairly reasonably especially if your looking to build one.
  23. The argument was that with the camaro and mustang, the v6 models seem to be somewhat more appealing(certain years, not all). And with the cash saved with buying a v6 car the added money would be best spent on swapping a built engine instead of buying a v8 then building the motor.
