  1. Around 1993 when we lived in pickerington and still went to school in columbus, at arourd 5:30 every night you would literally get stuck at 70/256 for nealy 1 & 1/2 hrs trying to get onto 256. If it werent for that right there I would have moved to pickerington when I was looking to buy.
  2. Fuck fuck fuck. I just wrote a 10 min update, blacked out and erased it. Fucking passing out sucks.
  3. Its all about where you live. There is no way I would fight through city traffic if I didnt have to. I moved to an area where this is not an isue for me.
  4. The statement is to broad a generalization. I have lived in the burg for almost 14 years. Previous to that I was in Pickerington for 4-5 years. I live in a quiet neighborhood with great neighbors. My neighbors are for the most part older and appear to be well educated. My house is in a spot that allows me to be on 270 coming off of broad in less than 2 mins on the busiest day from my house. I average from my house to cassady and 14th in 5 mins with a max of 10mins on a rarely shitty day. I have done this schedule for nearly 10 years at this point. My neighbors all take really good care of the yards and homes. My only real concern with the burg isthat there are a few really shiity section 8 housing complexes which have developed over the years. Unfortunately these kids are bussed and spread out amoungst the school district do to the overwhelming number of them. Unfortunately most people know what kind of people and issues stem from a community like this. I grew up off of parsons ave next to te projects until I was 15 and never did I see such sorry excuses for parents and individuals as I have seen living in these complexes here in reynoldsburg. Also Reynoldsburg has a large renters community and with any community like that its hard to get voters to approve new $$$ for items such as school bonds and levy's. Other than that I am sure every neighborhood has the same issue's reynoldsburghas going for and against them.
  5. Please tell me you didnt just call pataskala a hood.
  6. Kids are very resiliant(sp?) hope he makes a full recovery.
  7. More than likely it was me. I was probably going into shock about the time they saw me. All I was told was I was shaking badly, my teeth were chattering badly and I just kept repeating "it hurts so bad". which guy was your buddy?
  8. Its odd that you would ask "they can just remove it". Most likely from seeing its location, it will be the city. The other memorials that I have seen with longevity are those whom erectors have gone time and time again to erect them. Eventually the mower will be tired of getting off the mower each time to move it himself and he cant legally mow over it being so close to the thoroughfare. If you really want to see something last, erect something with both taste and ease use(I dont know whats set up now). An easily replaceable cross stained or painted nicely is more likely to let fly than some santo rios candles from the mexican store and a 40 of malt liquour. You can make a nice little cross out of 2x4's or 4x4's which noone has to know that was what was used, a 10 cent dowel rod a 50 cent rattle can paint and you have yourself a non offensive easily replaced memorial which will blend in. All for less than $1.00 and 15 mins. There are many other ways of making a roadside memorial which can be done easily as well.
  9. Does workers comp compensate you only a percentage? If so is it based on a 40hr work week or an average the last ...... pay checks? Also my work wants to reimburse me outta pocket until it becomes to economical not to do so. Will taxes be payed on the compensation? If yes or no, is it the same if my company or bwc is paying me, either way?
  10. Now I probably wont get out until next weekend. Thats 4+ more days than they initially thought but so goes it. Anyone ever been on workerscomp? I have questions.
  11. Thanks guys Matt if your interested, you may have to try and get the camper out yourself. I make no guarantees on its condition or ability to be used. Let me know.
  12. Have fun guys, sorry I will miss it. Was looking forward to it but maybe in a few months I will make it out to one of these.
  13. Are you offering the wifey for free legal advice on this matter? I need to quickly figure out what all my options are.
  14. Well in an effort to maintain or great workers cop rating at work, they want to pay me my averaged salary until they just cant afford to do so any longer. Wokers comp will cover all the bills and workers comp would take over payment should they decide its becoming to much. Plus I believe workers comp takes sometime and then is only 2/3's your paycheck. Can anyone confirm this or see any negative side effects from this? I am not sure where I would get a settlement from thats been mentioned. Who is there to sue?
  15. I am just hoping to get through with most of my vette savings in tact.
  16. Just keep paying taxes and workers comp will pick up the tab.
  17. Well I am still in the hospital. It was certainly a rough and very slow night. My wife was here all day and them my aunt brought my kids up until my mom arrived at 6pm and stayed with me until about an hour ago. My boss and my dad stayed for a few hours around lunch time. They may have gotten me on a pain management regime and actually was able to sleep for a bit. Now the swelling needs to go down or they will be forcedto cut slots in the top of the foot that go all the way through to help make room for the swelling which doesnt sound good. Thanks everyone for the kind words.
  18. Its amazing that this pain medicine wears off exactly on the hour. Its not a drip. Every hour on the hour I wake up because within a matter of 10 secs I go from hurting a little, to I'm looking for a saw to cut my foot off pain. They have this machine that has a tube going into the wound and is trying to pull everything together. Its amazing the body can remake its own blood because this thing keeps pulling it out. They are talking about skin-graphing the foot. So that may be an additional area that will need to heal.
  19. Hahaha. They cut all my cloths off me when I got here. I am sure I have been flashing my junk to every nurse(female only) who has come in. Finally they have worked out the pain medicine issue. They give me 2 shots of diladid(sp) at once, unfortunately it only lasts an hour before the pain comes back very quickly.
  20. Since the foot split completely opened like a melon, they said it was beneficial to allow for swelling. I am so tired and hungry but I still cant eat and the pain wont allow me to fall asleep. I really thought I would be here for a few hours and then a cast and gone but when they told me I may get out tuesday, my heart sank.
