He mostly does trips down the 555 and might do an autox every once and awhile. I told him a roots/Whipple would be best imo but he like the cheap price of a turbo and thinks its going to be trouble free once installed (maybe it would be but I'm doubting it)

He has never driven anything fast, has an engineering degree but little real world mechanical aptitude. I'm hesitate to tell him to go turbo because most kits aren't install and forget and I'm worried about the future. He is going to be using it mostly as a daily and nothing more. I had him talked into a blower until the company he was going to buy it from talked him out of it (not that hard when its 2k more) I personally think the low end torque is going to make the car more fun to drive than high hp numbers of a turbo...

My Roommate is looking to boost his 2013 Fr-s. He planned to buy the supercharger option from vortech but is now leaning turbo after a company told him he should... I don't know these cars so I'm asking Cr for your knowledge....

So I need some input on things. 1.What is the easiest bracket setup on a 5.3 to run an alternator and the oe water pump? Maybe change to a groved pulley and move alt to other side maybe? 2. Are all ls alternator s the same or are some physically smaller? 3. Is heat soak a concern for the ls coil packs or leaving them in the stock location OK?

Well being as I'm a Ford guy I'm doing an ls swap to learn something new, also I've found about every kind of Toyota based swap but strangely no ls swap. So it will be a little unique. Then the third point is a 1uz (or whatever) makes 265 HP and uses Lexus parts($$) the 2jz is all $$ if watching Alex and Matt's supras show me anything. We aren't aiming for a competive drag car just a fun toy that we can build on as we go.
