  1. i dont know if my motor is a roller motor....i fig it was a flat tapped....the motor is a 92 out of a camaro rs.....my goal right now is to just mess with this 305 until i get the 355 done.. im going to put a cam and gear drive in it..i just really want to play with this motor a little im not looking to build a 305 but its got a leaking intake gasket and prob leaking around the timming cover so if i take it down to fix the leaks im going to put in a cam and gear drive just to make it sound good...
  2. well i picked up a crane cam and was told that if i put it in the 305 i have that it would cause the valve to touch the piston.... it is a 465/488 lift.. 114 deg cam..... he said because its a 305 with a smaller bore(witch we know) that it would open the valves to much.....is he full of u know what ,or is there any truth to this...i dont think the cam is that big...

  4. i was told that u lose hp can be up to a 40hp loss....i like a gear drive but not enough to give up any hp.... witch way should i go ... and is this true...
  5. Yeah I would say ur 95 takes a diff one.I'm not sure if u could make it work or not.

  10. lol.......no i was trying to fig out if i really needed a fpr with a return line out. or if i could run one without.... but i think i got it now...lol thanks everyone....
  11. u said that right!!!! i seen a car with a holley fpr with a fuel line in with two fuel lines out...one went to the carb one to the return line.... he told me it takes alot of stress off the pump.... and he has had the same pump for 3 years and he drives it almost every day.... it was showing 8 psi..... now i have two choices...lol...

  13. heres another one that im being told...that i can run a fpr with a fuel line in and two fuels lines out...and run one of the out as the return... is this possible
  14. well it came off a stock 5.0 ford motor and it was good on it...the carb was jetted down and setup to work on a stock motor... so i was told..i have a holley 650 on standby just in case....
  15. it is a holley 750 and ....so if it needs 7 to 7.5 can i run a fpr without a return

  18. i am switching my 305 tbi motor to carb...the motor is in my s10 that had a 4.3 in it before swap.....my problem is with how to control the fuel pressure....i have been told i dont have enough pressure to worry about having a pressure regulator with a fuel return line witch the tbi system has...but i also was told i will need a fuel pressure regulator with a return line ... i have looked up on line how much the stock fuel pump for the 4.3 puts out.. and it is very low pressure.... i have looked on a few diff forums before i asked on here... but i havnt had any real help....

  20. yeah i understand that....but for what i have im seeing that because i need a return i will have to pay more...the one im prob goin to buy is 70 bucks at jegs...i just need to get it down to about 4 to 9 lbs ..im replacing a thottle body setup with a carb setup....if i had the 100 i would buy the one offerd to me...
